The Spirits have been a staple of orcish culture since Krug himself took breath upon these mortal plains. Moreover so, these Spirits have shaped the lives of the orcs and the Mortal Realm. Orgon , the prior Greater Immortal Spirit of Corruption,Pestilence, and Failure, who betrayed the orcs, and swathed the lands in a blight so powerful that forced all to abandon such a place. Zagbal, a lesser of Freygoth , and Spirit of the Jungle led the orcs to the lands of Axios and to their jungle, a respite from the violence of Orgon and a lands that allowed them to flourish. The Spirits now seek a truer pact not only with the shamans of Axios, but the orcs of San’Tharr and those who wish to live with them. To receive such a blessing from the spirits, one must give proper worship and offerings daily. However, this is far from the human and eleven sacrifices from the days of old. The spirits require a sacrifice that shows sole devotion and honor towards that spirit, rather than simply the spilling of weak blood. A worshiper of Arwa may offer their crop or an adherent of Bregthar may arrange stones in a complex order to show the time and work they offer to the Elemental of Earth. A devotee of Betharuz may write books of the Spirit’s strength, or even burn books and tomes in offering of the spirit. In return, they are blessed with the aspect of the spirits, as a blacksmith worshipper of Skathach, Greater Elemental Spirit of Flame would find their flames burning brighter, creating stronger armor and sharper tools. Devout worship is key, and as such, the spirits would find the worship of many to reward even more blessings, offering further power to those who gather more adherents. Such is the way of the spirits who seek the power and the adoration of their followers. Lûp-gothûrz agh golm-gothûrz. OOC: Essentially, the goal of this post is to not only to avoid and deter the excuse of "Spirit Sacrificing" when banditting, and make it a larger part of orc roleplay. The spirits do effect things in roleplay, and as more players worship a Spirit, the greater the small reward becomes. This is to encourage players roleplaying together in this aspect, and the blessings will be managed by myself. If you wish to worship a specific spirit, message me on Skype or the forums.
