no longer active 734 Share Posted September 18, 2011 So I was thinking that each race could get a special resources to make trade a part of Aegis. For example the dwarves would be teh only people with a mine, elves trees, Orcs sand?, and humans: I haven't thought that out. But it would really increase trade a an elf can't start mining in a mine that is in Laurelin so they have to trade to get cobblestone and ores. Thoughts and suggestions welcome, Mili Irongut
Redbaron™ 690 Share Posted September 19, 2011 It would be nice. create a more economic world.
Lynden 16 Share Posted September 19, 2011 This is a good idea as long is it is not takin to extremes. Like maybe every race could have a few mines but the dwarfs could have more. Otherwise the dwarfs would be extremly rich being the only people with ores to sell and orks would have entirly sand and glass houses.

no longer active 734 Author Share Posted September 19, 2011 I support minas. Barter system died out for a reason. There could be both. Such as all races having mines but the dwarves having a richer mine.
moondoggy 27 Share Posted September 20, 2011 I'm all for Dwarves having a better mine than the other races. The biggest best mine i was ever in was Alras' mine and i bet Urguan's mine was equally big but i never been in there.
no longer active 734 Author Share Posted September 20, 2011 I think that maybe the orcs could have sand? Some races should get a mine but not the elves. I mean when in fantasy do elves work in mines>
williewonka01 45 Share Posted September 20, 2011 Well makes sense I guess. But remember the most needed, and wanted resource are ores. Just would not be fair to only give one race, or leave the elfs out with mines.
Robin Drake 731 Share Posted September 20, 2011 Well humans seem to use wool alot in their buildings, perhaps that could be used? Or wheat. Im all for dwarves having richer mines, as they could sell ores for less as they will have alot more. Meaning more merchants going to and from the dwarven cities causing an increase in trade. I would like this very much.

Robin Drake 731 Share Posted September 21, 2011 Aye but the dwarves could be made to have no tree's. In the 1.8 biomes mountain regions have barely any trees. So it may work on the new continent.

Petyr 485 Share Posted September 21, 2011 Specialization of nations has both upsides and downsides if we look at real world economics. However, since one of the future goals is to increase interracial interaction, some specialization is probably a good idea. I believe that on the new map some of this will occur.
