The sound of rushing feet were even more noticeable during the silence of the Army’s men rallied for the ordinary bi-monthly patrol. An Armsman by the name of Gerard began spewing out his worries in an incomprehensive manner, only achieving success in delivering his message after having caught his breath, luckily the man was addressing Baldric Crast, a man renowned for his patience. The men marched off at once, after a short prayer of course, having a purpose of reclaiming what was theirs’.

With haste, the already rallied patrol made their way to the ongoing assault, and as they arrived, Armsman Gerard was shot down. The officer ordered for the archers to reclaim the tower, whereas the men wielding blades met the skeleton charge. A shield wall composed of some of the most loyal men, Adrian Rothesay, Nicolas Rubens, Philip Marshal and the newly oathed Max Reeves, was used effectively by these trained soldiers, advancing forward and making short work of the boned individuals. A long-nosed wizard was leading the skeleton assault, but was strangled by the great Gansem after a difficult pursuit and the near start of a forest fire by none other than Ser Rolien ‘The Articulate’.

At the same time, a portion of the rallied men branched off to tackle the remaining reinforcements for the previously dispatched undead. However, the difference between these ones and the previous ones was large, noticed almost immediately when all the men aiming to assault them were thrown backwards by an electrical wall spurting to life and running along the steadfast men’s blades. The skeletons advanced after this action, aiming to end the life of the true-hearted Harland Sanders but stopped by Adrian with his trusty heater shield named ‘Diddler’ and crumpled with his baton after seeing the electrics reaction to metal. Once the men were back to their feet, the young NCO lead another full on assault on the eldritch beings however he was the one to be least successful, his face being carved deeply by a cleaver. Despite this, the other men were successful in valiantly destroying the dark beings and reducing them to a pile of bones.

After the sorcerer was dealt with, another enemy was fought; The Chattering Champion. A foe that struck fear in each soldier present, but after restless clashing and a barrage of attacks; it fell. Baldric rallied the men after they had regained their breath and ordered Rubens to bring them home to Bastion; the unbreakable fortress.
