KIIWIKILLA 342 Share Posted March 20, 2017 The Wolf and the Stag Crowds gathered on the fields of Rytsburg to welcome their new Lady home. On the 12th of Sun's Smile 1603, after much preparation, the houses of Vyronov and Baruch joined. The young Baron of Rytsburg had chosen his bride, and he had chosen well. The young Katherine of Ayr had been an excellent match - her experiences on the harsh Haensetic coast had made her suitable for a more relaxed, though still difficult, life on farmland. It had been almost a century since the Vyronov-Baruch friendship had started, and it was now solidified in marriage. It had been in the youths of Lerald Vyronov and Marius Baruch, the founders of both houses, that the friendship had came to fruition - the pair spending extensive time together in the court of Duke John of Carnatia during the Eighteen Years’ war. The Lady Katherine’s family were among the first to arrive in the St Karlsburg cathedral. Lord Eirik and his uncle Lord Hughes took their seats at the front, flanked by their children and Lord Eirik's brother, Harold. Shortly after the Baruch and Pasquier families were seated, the family of the groom entered. The elderly Lothor Vyronov and his niece, Grisleda, lead their entourage to the front of the cathedral and took their places opposite the Baruchs, before Archbishop Rory Othaman lead the other onlookers and Haensetic nobility to their seats behind the respected families of those being wed. At mid afternoon on the 12th of Sun’s Smile, Katherine Baruch became Baroness Katherine Vyronov of Rytsburg, and alas the two houses were joined in blood as well as arms.
