What is roleplaying?:  The process of acting out a character that is something or someone other than yourself.

What is metagaming?: Using out of character information in character to give your character an advantage or having them know something that they necessarily wouldn’t know in roleplay.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: When you make your character do something that they realistically could not do or doing something without giving the other person a chance to react. Ex. Emoting backflipping to dodge their attack while stabbing the person in the throat.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Artorias was born in the year of 1586 and raised in the Westerlands by his mother and father. Although, he had lost both his parents in an attack. Growing up on his own from a young age, he traveled across the lands during his free time. He would explore places such as the Kingdom of Haense, Lorriane, and took an interest to the architecture of Urguan. Even though he enjoyed traveling, he felt his place was at home in the Westerlands where he aspires to join their forces and protect his homeland from the dangers that face it. Artorias always felt that he could help other people in as many ways as he could possibly do it and if the opportinity presents itself then he shall help anyone in need of aid. Artorias always had an interest in fancy and complicated equipment, from armor all the way to big mechanisms.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) He can be rude, however he is not ignorant. He tends to be more of a silent observer as long as there is no trouble.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) He aspires to be a great warrior and serve his people the best he can.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He learns quickly and he very agile this was due to the fact that he always trained hard in his spare time.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)  His rude nature can lead him into trouble most of the time because his parents were rude to strangers in the little years they were alive and so imitated them and started being a little rude himself.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Artorias  stands to be 6ft tall. His dark wavy hair would fall just below his ears and his eyes would be a dark brown. He typically likes to wear armour and cover his features. He would also have a strong athletic build to him.

Please include more important events in your characters life which have molded them to be who they are today. Why do they have the personality traits, strengths and weaknesses you say they have? For instance if a characters weakness was they were afraid of spiders it may be because of a traumatic experience with spiders at a young age
   
• I highly encourage that you use a skin that shows your character's chosen features rather than just a helmet and armor covering the entire body.
