THE MARDON-COURLAND TREATY

Issued and confirmed by the respective authorities, this treaty is hereby presented to the Isles of Axios as confirmation of the Mardon-Courland peace, and stands as affirmation that the treaty is to be held in its highest regard.

23rd of The Grand Harvest, 1607, do the Kingdom of Courland and the Independent Duchy of Mardon agree to the terms of the Mardon-Courland treaty, to prevent bloodshed of our kinsmen, and warfare ravage the Courlandic nation and Ducal Lands alike. With the signing of His Majesty, Tobias Staunton, and His Grace, Peter Sigismund, with their respective vassals, forces, and fiefs, we do hereby guarantee no further aggression, and a conclusion to the war.

 

With this agreement does the Duchy of Mardon and Kingdom of Courland agree to the terms of peace held within this treaty, and swears to uphold and adhere to these terms:

 

I. The Duchy of Mardon will pay reparations of their rebellion from the Kingdom of Courland in the form of twenty thousand minae or iron.

II. The Duchy of Mardon will not intervene in the upcoming Lorraine-Savoy civil war, except in the defence of Ostwick, and are unable to advance into a conquest.

III. The Independent Duchy of Mardon and the Kingdom of Courland will henceforth subtract all levies from their countering factions, and engage in non-aggression for a minimum of five years.

 

With the signing of His Majesty, Tobias Staunton, and His Grace, Peter Sigismund, the clause of war is henceforth concluded. The signatories do agree to the terms of this treaty and shall adhere to them with the utmost regard. Should these terms be broken or alternated, the appropriate action will be taken, with the clause of a one-week cease-fire for the establishment of diplomatic relations to try and steer free from warfare.
