How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I used to play back in 2011 during HS. Wanted to see how this server is doing now. :-)

Biography:

     Ember is a High Elf punk girl from Laureh'lin with a direct line of ancestry dating back to middle-class pure-bred High Elves from Malinor. Growing up amongst strict parents and many authoritative men, Ember grew up tougher than most High Elf girls around her and developed a rebellious personality. Ember's family was very traditional and often sought for her to exhibit "normal" behavior and dress within the confines of society, but Ember took pleasure in being a punk, accumulating sleeves of tattoos that she'd often keep covered just to keep her parents' mouths shut. She'd dye her hair unconventional colors and giggle through her father's reprimanding, until they eventually grew tired of scolding her to no avail. The peak of her rebellious behavior as a teen was intentionally sneaking out and dating Wood-Elves and Dark-Elves, which would drive her parents mad - since such interbreeding was extremely frowned upon and could result in huge trouble. Despite this, she has a generally good relationship with her parents, who love her regardless of her wild and volatile nature. She often sends money back home to them or brings them back some souvenirs from her travels.

      Ember has since moved out as an adventurer and has been traveling throughout Tahn for at least a year now. She's gotten even more tattoos and is constantly seeking to improve her combat skills as well as her wisdom. She seeks to collect as many treasures as she can during her travels, with a special interest in the wealthy regions of the Federation of Sutica and the goods she might have to find there. She isn't outright a thief - she's a COLLECTOR! - but will not hesitate to steal if she must and the item is of enough interest. She's also more of a lonewolf than a group-adventurer, but she sometimes partners up with novel faces if they meet her needs. Expect to find her at the local tavern, besting Dwarven men in drinking games, or roadside talking a gullible Wood Elf boy out of his amethyst ring for a low penny.

 

 

Personality Traits:

   Ember is pretty sassy overall, often carrying about a condescending attitude over those she deems weaker or foolish. However, she can easily turn her smug attitude into an irresistible charm when appropriate. She is also obsessed with seafood and has a hobby of collecting expensive enchanted jewels. She often shows less respect for authority than her peers, and is frequently a trouble-maker when she gets bored. 

 

Ambitions:

   Ember is a jewel-thirsty man-eater (not literally) that aims to manipulate any weaker man that crosses her path for her benefit. Since a young girl, Ember would often pick fights with the boys because she felt the girls were too easy for her. Even as a teenager, Ember took pride in being a better fighter than the High Elf boys around her and was always looking to train with Dark Elves that could offer her higher martial arts knowledge. Ember has also always been fascinated with alchemy, and would abuse it as a teen to make ..."special capsules"... for her and her friends. Since then, she has taken a more mature approach to alchemy, aspiring to learn how to fully manipulate it for medicinal purposes as well... but that doesn't stop her from dabbling in her old ways. Finally, Ember has recently taken a slight interest in the arcane, due to a recent encounter with an odd female from her past in her travels...

Strengths/Talents:

   Ember's charm tends to get her out of many situations (or sometimes into them) especially with men, and ESPECIALLY with Elven Men. In addition, her go-getter personality makes her persistent in getting her way. She's a pretty nimble fighter hand-to-hand or with small blades in comparison to most High Elves, who tend to be less suited for physical combat. She is more agile than she is heavy, but she still packs a decent punch for a slim High Elf. In addition, her light build allows for some pretty decent stealth whenever she needs to sneak around. 

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities:

   Despite her wit and charm, Ember is sometimes a ticking time-bomb - catching her off-guard sometimes can lead her to lash out or lose her temper very easily. On the same note, Ember has even less patience for men than for women - foolish/weak men get Ember fuming with little effort. This sometimes gets her into trouble with authorities or scares some people away from her. In addition, her pride leads her to oversize herself sometimes, and sometimes misreads situations that she thinks herself strong enough to handle... forgetting that she's still a pretty slender girl no matter her boldness. Finally, although she believes herself stronger than most of her peers, when she DOES fall for a guy... OH BOY.  

 

Appearance:

   Ember is 5'11 and has a slender but athletic build. She has many tattoos on both of her arms, though they are usually covered by her greaves. She is generally considered attractive amongst not only High Elves, but even some Dark and Wood Elves as well. She has a small tattoo of two four-pointed sprites under her right eyelid, and has bright magenta-colored eyes. She also has a thin gold hoop on her right nostril. She sports wavy-teal hair and almost always wears her goggles on her head everywhere. Her attire is usually less formal than other High Elves and more steampunk-ish, often wearing leather and other worn clothing mixed with some metals.
