A letter of Goodbyes

A letter to the Citizens of the Kingdom of Mardon, and of the Empire 

 

Malin's Welcome 1615:

 

People of Lorath, I pen this letter to you with a heavy heart, as I fear it is time for me to depart the mortal plain once and for all. Please forgive me for my absence, I have grown gravely ill and decided it best to abandon my post as Lord High Steward to reside he rest of my days in my Keep. Henceforth, I do wish that in the days to come, Mardon continues to be the beacon of hope for humanity I saw it to be, and helps lead our kind forward as a loyal subject of the Grandiose Empire. 

 

To the the new High Steward: I do wish you the best of luck in accomplishing what I could not. Do serve our Kingdom with the Pride and Respect it Deserves. 

 

To His Grace, the King Peter Sigismund of House Horen: Thank you for permitting me to serve you. It truly has been a Tremendous Honor for both myself and my House to serve the House of Horen once again. 

 

I do now send you my son, to bend the knee to both our King, and our Emperor, to serve loyally and true to the values I've worked so hard to bestow him with. Augustus will make you all proud, as he has made me. 

 

Goodbye to all my friends, and those who have grown to be my family.

 

A toast to the Kingdom, and a toast to the Empire. Long live the King! Long live the Emperor! Ave Orenia.
