Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I play Minecraft to wind down after school. I'm a dedicated and experienced Minecraft player, and like to engage with the community civilly and in-character.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: It would depend, at the least five hours, owing to my busy timetable.

How long have you played minecraft?: Since the beta release.

What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I know of it conceptually, in practice I have little experience in roleplaying, but I’m perfectly willing to give it a go and can maintain a character with creativity.

What do you expect this server will be like?: Fun, interesting, immersive and time-consuming!

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Various pvp, survival and creative servers, have left many owing to technical disruptions, irresponsible admin and cheaters.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: I subscribe to all the requirements there.

Name the 4 races on this server: Orc, Elf, Dwarf and Human, not including the subraces and Undead and Ascended.

What was your favourite Law?: The RP racism qualifier was amusing. They were all equally coherent and fair.

What was your least favourite Law?: The necessity to have a forum account, but it makes sense when considering engaging with the community.

Biography: Exposed as a child, brought up by a gang of youths in the Wilds, who he comes to see as a family and shared many romances and sorrows with them in their adventures, sometimes as mercenaries, sometimes as wandering survivalists. He was captured and blinded by slavers led by a cruel human lord when scavenging in some ruins and was left to work as stumbling miner, in the infamous tunnels beneath the borders of Karl Urguan. Somehow he survives, orchestrates a revolt and escapes, living as a fugitive in a nearby keep under a noble Dwarven Baron, who recognises his talent and appoints him as apprentice to the architect and castellan from whom he learns much of his multi-faceted craft, high in the observatory’s library, read to by a squire. After finally earning his freedom he gains a university education in the history and arts of the land and is left penniless. He finds his way back to his original place of birth, The Holy Princedom of Malinor, to use its libraries and to educate the establishment with a mind to reform, his determination springing from a suspicion of noble lineage to his name.

Character Age: Young by elven standards.

Character Appearance: With clear Elvish eyes and facially scarred, supported by sticks but clad in noble garments and the badges earned of scholarship, his hair is the blue-brown of aristocratic elves.

Character Personality: Melancholy, dry, quiet, unimpressed. As a friend, loyal and trusting to a fault, enjoys camaraderie and has an underlying passion. His blindness has taken some of the animation from him.

Your ambitions: To remind the Elvish state of its darker side and roots, to make it stronger both culturally and in statesmanship, how this is to be achieved by career is yet to be seen.

Can your character read or write?: Diogenes can no longer read, he needs dictation, though he is an established polemicist.

Can your character mine?: Yes, he retains the feel of the minerals and dangers but it brings back nightmarish memories, the darkness twice multiplied.

Are you a capable builder?: Yes, he is familiar with getting his hands dirty to achieve his dreams.

Can you wield a sword?: Obviously not as useful as he once may have been in combat, his blindness does not inhibit his astonishing speed and awareness, the experience gained in all those years of toil giving him a strength and resolution which overwhelms his enemies.

Enjoy Farming?: As a practice for retirement or retreat, not as a livelihood.

Does your character have any special skills?: A strong perception both mentally and physically are tempered in various interesting ways owing to his blindness. He is a scholar first and foremost and his interest is in a maintenance of the lore with a progressive idealism. He knows the world's underbelly, so he sees more than most.
