The Principality of Veris is a diverse community which is controlled by His Royal Majesty, High Prince Kalalian Vortral, Overseer of Makuakane, Master of Golden Eagles, Champion of Peace. Veris is comprised of a multitude of sections that divide and delegate tasks, leadership, activities, and voice among the Royal house of the Vortral family and the people of Veris.

 

The Verisian History

 

The History of Veris originated as a Refugee camp which housed individuals in fear of persecution due to religious, racial, or economic concerns and differences among the Orenian reform prior to its reformation. From this, the tented area grew into wooden homesteads which scattered the base of the Levali Mountain Range. From this, organization began to foreshadow into Veris, allowing for a complete demolition of the community, forging homes in an organized pattern that outlined that of a city. While Veris began to grow in populace, more homesteads and distracts erected from the chilled and frosted grass tips of the Levali.

 

In its current stage, The Principality of Veris strives to maintain a ‘like’ relation to which it was forged with: Peace and acceptance to any and all individual which seeks it while avoiding the burden of hatred and disapproval from another entity that opposes the lifestyle of a specific individual. This is supported with the Verisian building code, allowing for one nondenominational church to be built, allowing for any peaceful religion to practice at any time they wish while supporting separate ideologies from other lifestyles that promote other forms of religious activities, such as the religious orders.

 

The Principles of Veris correlate to the laws and legalities of the Verisi, showing that specifically, rules are to be followed and if they are not, banishment or death is quite usually the ultimate punishment. The prefaced rules and guidelines of the Verisi are listed in no particular order below.

 

As a member of the Verisi, I hereby affirm

that I will upkeep:

• National Security, prohibiting those with negative and harmful intentions from entering the city walls, barring them from any interaction with other citizens.

• The use of general knowledge on any topic, both domestic and foreign, utilizing this right by formulating a request for information to the Advisory board of Domestic Affairs OR the Advisory board of Foreign Affairs.

• Fairness throughout the Principality of Veris, allowing acceptance to overcome any other feeling over another race, ethnicity, or person among the Verisi.

• The right to rent property with the amendment that any renter or seller of property may not specifically ignore the bid of an individual based off of their orientation presented to such seller.

• Racial security, allowing any and all members of the Verisi to express themselves to the fullest extent, no matter their racial background or orientation.

• Sexual security, allowing any and all members of the Verisi to express themselves to the fullest extent, no matter their sexual preference of one another.

• Safety of any traveler, explorer, or foreign being in the city from any potential threat or danger-- protecting them as your own fellow citizen.

• The right to request a trial upon the High Prince [Or His/Her counsel if the Monarch is unavailable] when regarding a legality issue or banishment clause.

• The right to appeal any banishment or punishment clause with the advice of the Domestic Advisory board.

• The right to clarify amendments or legal clauses with the High Prince upon scheduled and informed meetings.

 

The legality preface exemplifies the baseline structure of the legal system founded by High Prince Kalalian Vortral.

 

Political Structure

 

The Political Structure of Veris is designed in that of a Monarchical system in which the High Prince has the ultimate say within his/her sovereign lands. The monarch in this situation, although being with complete power MUST follow the guidelines of having a mandatory council, known as the advisory board which gives input on any level decision upon meetings and gatherings.

 

Advisory Board:

• Advisor of Education: Azoth Hawksong

• Advisor of Military Functions: Uurarm

• Advisor of Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs: Thalrian

• Advisor of Domestic Affairs: Remus Ith’ael

• Advisor of Monetary Functions: Kalviin

 

These advisory chairs do not hold any true vote when advising UNLESS there is no effective High Prince due to a death, transfer of power, or for any other reason. In this case the five member board votes on issues throughout the absence of the monarch.

If and when the Monarch decides to court and marry another individual it is the right of the Monarch to decide if the spouse is able to have power, however, it is not a separate individual power, simply another voice in the Monarch’s ear. This ensures that power will not grow upon the throne and multiply for the royal family.

 

City Life

 

The city planning of Veris was designed and managed by Kalalian Vortral, the First High Prince of Veris. The concept behind this was a floral Aesthetic wrapped around logged buildings to form a naturally warm and cozy environment at the base of a snowy tundra, alongside a breezy cove. This allowed for individuals who were travelling or seeking refuge to regain strength and prosper in better health around such a harsh and unforgiving environment.

 

The city is comprised of districts, leading to styles of neighborhoods including singularity, community, family oriented, and guild housing. The city is centered with a square that allows access to every major district, including the interior economic district full of shops and service stations. The streets of Veris are not paved, rather lined with cobblestone that has been dirtied, likewise with the only structures being of stone are the Royal Keep, the church bell, and square interior to represent the beauties of diversity. Fortitude, religious freedom, and centering the embodiment of the Verisian Movement.

 

Circular and rounded square designs are utilized to prove for a cleaner approach to specific buildings and structures which contrast with the right angles of the homes-- proving the difference between simplicity and diversity among other architectural tastes among the realm.

 

Diplomatic Relationships

 

Diplomacy throughout the Principality of Veris has been designed to invite pacts and alliances among peaceful nations and countries throughout Axios, leaving charters and occasionally hostile countries the Act of Neutrality to ensure that safety and security overcome any chaos and negativity which may knock on the gates of Veris.

Veris has taken great pleasure in introducing Religious Orders to aid in the fight against chaos which hinders the safety of the Verisi and other members of the realm in which we all share. These religious groups interact with the Verisi while avoiding mass internal and external conflict, allowing for a safe haven from any entity which produces a sort of evilness.

 

The Verisi has always reigned without known enemies of the crown, priding itself with minimal action in The Axioate Coalition, a movement to reform the tyrannical Orenian forces while holding firm to its ideology of peace and prosperity over war and darkness of an unknown.

 

The Verisi

 

Veris is an everlasting symbol of freedom that is produced through acceptance and tolerance of any race, shown with friendly regards both internally and exterorily. This is redefined with opportunities for both Verisian Citizens and foreign individuals, both diplomatically and as leisure travelers. The Verisian People are one with themselves who not attack others, rather defend their given right to live freely and happily so long as they are not causing bodily harm to others.

 

As long as the Golden Eagles of the Levali continue to fly, the Verisian People will soar far behind the mountain peak, among the realm of Axios, in Peace and in alliance with the world as we know it. One with nature, with creatures, souls, and each other.
