Can't connect to the server

Is the server down, been trying to connect for a few days and the only message i get is, "Could not connect to a default or fallback server, please try again later. Anyone else having same problems or just me and my friend?

I'm pretty sure it's either you're not in 1.12 version or you're just lagging.

yo, problem is either your java, firewall, proxy. Its a connection issue, not a version issue i do not believe

 

though check that as well.
