What is Roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of immersing yourself into a created world through a different perspective--namely, that of your chosen character--and replying via text or in some cases verbally to the actions and words of other similarly immersed players.

What is Metagaming?: Metagaming involves going outside of the perspective of the chosen RP world by knowing/utilizing information that you may know but your character would not have any clue about. It allows for unfair RP and is not allowed on the server.

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: Powergaming is a manner of RP in which the user is able to force outcomes onto whatever character/object/etc. they may be acting upon; for example, declaring that you have killed another player via an attack without their input would be considered powergaming and is not allowed on the server. Expressing your character's intent and allowing your RP partner to follow through with an action in a balanced manner is a solution to powergaming.

Biography:

Fiyaleh's parents were wandering travelers in the regions surrounding Linandria, where they raised their daughter in the Aspectism faith and the knowledge of the natural world around them. The birth of their daughter in the spring of 1531 after a long period of barrenness revitalized their faith in Cernunnos and Cerridwen, and they appropriately named their daughter after the ancient words for "reborn mind". Fiyaleh thus grew up with a love of nature and the deities that made it all possible, taking care to nurture and respect the earth whenever she needed to call upon it for her own survival, be it praying over the bodies of creatures she had hunted or blessing the firewood used to keep her family and herself warm on cold winter nights.

As her family has typically made a living both off the land and by trading various goods, Fiyaleh has grown up with a sense of good business and the importance of craftsmanship. She has been at her parents' sides for many years, traveling with them and living off the land, but she has recently decided to settle for a time within the city of Linandria to pursue her own endeavors. And that is where our story begins.

Personality Traits:

Fiyaleh is a relatively gentle soul, not seeking out violence unless other options for resolution have already been met on a personal level. However, she simultaneously understands that every peaceful day was made after the natural disasters of conflict, and that war cannot always be avoided. Her moral compass recognizes the futility of extremist protections but rebels at mass counts of wickedness. In short, she will attempt kindness before a feud, but given the right moral circumstances or the wronging of a friend, she will not hesitate to act in self-defense of herself and others. Like many of her kind, she prefers a closeness to nature over machinery, and while not an excellent cook, she certainly enjoys the taste and heartiness of a home-cooked meal. She is down-to-earth to the point of occasionally being stubborn and is incredibly loyal to her friends.

Ambitions:

Fiyaleh above all aspires to be a good person, providing goods to those who need it while also taking care of herself and her friends. She has a surprising eye for business, but would never dream of selling someone short; craftsmanship is as key to her as profit.

Strengths/Talents:

Fiyaleh is skilled at surviving in the wild by relying upon the land, forging her own tools depending on what she needs, and providing aid to her friends. Like many of her kind, she can fire a bow and arrow rather accurately, but she does not always employ this skill unless it is needed. She is additionally fairly good at communication and de-escalating potentially volatile situations.

Weaknesses/Inabilities:

Fiyaleh most certainly is not the most combat-ready outside of the occasional need for self-defense despite her skill with a bow, and therefore often feels of little use during wars or other larger feuds. She tends to draw back during fighting and often takes too little risks even in her daily life.

Appearance: 

Fiyaleh is of average height for her race, on the shorter side but well built to handle whatever mood nature may be in. She has green eyes and tawny brown hair as well as light brown skin. She tends to cover up in muted green and brown tones to blend in with and celebrate the forest, and can often be seen wearing a hood to cover much of her head from prying eyes.
