What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Hard to say, but I like that landscapes cannot be griefed, because my experience on many servers has been ruined simply on people messing up the place.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): I don't really understand the lockpicking system, but I don't see it as a necessity to my enjoyment, as I don't see myself participating in a "heist." 

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I came across it a few years ago, when I was already over my young minecraft faze. Recently some friends and I decided to pick the game back up and naturally I remembered how cool this server sounded, and here I am.

What is Roleplaying?: Roleplaying is essentially a more "adult" game of make believe in which the players can play out the lives of characters in order to communally have fun and commit to a story.

What is Metagaming?: Using knowledge that you as the player knows to your characters advantage, even though the character wouldn't necessarily know the information the player discovered through out of character interaction. Basically bringing OOC information IC.

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: Scaling the power of your character up above others. "Main Character" Mentality, where people act like their character is above others in many ways and wants to be the hero. (Or the strongest, or over others in many ways.) Examples could include not letting people react or have a say in actions in an emote fight. (They're playing the game like one would a FPS game, with the goal of winning, not the goal of a balanced fun experience I guess.) Basically, not playing for story and community, but for personal power fantasy.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Character’s age: 28

Biography  (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Read up on your character's race and be sure to add at least one accurate reference from the server lore): 

 

Bernard Oakstool was an odd Halfling. His parents, raising him in the traditional Halfling way and teaching him to enjoy life, had miserably failed. It wasn't that he didn't like the Halfling lifestyle, but he took interest in things most Halflings wouldn't. For instance, he was very interested in political systems at a young age. Yes, he was pleased generally about the lack of Government rule over his race, but he did not like the elders of his parent's village, Willow Hollow. historically the elders had control over the deputies and the laws which could be passed. He saw this as undemocratic, and thus sparked his interest in politics. He figured that since Halfling's strive for community, that their government should also be a more communal democratic institution where every member of the community should be heard. However, since he sees himself as still young, and not intelligent enough for such a movement, he had ambition to become a druid, to study in peace, with no pressure from the outside world, while he plotted about this new system, and learning how to aid people, and nature in the process.

 

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)

Bernard is very open to relationships and communication, but is also paranoid about things going wrong, which sometimes prevents him from going through life by the seat of his pants, like some of his Halfling peers. He wants to be outgoing, but he cannot always muster the bravery.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?)

Bernard strives for democracy throughout the land, which would be his end goal, being a politician that would help the masses. However, he understands that he is a tiny man in a big world, and wants to become a druid so he can help those in need, while being able to stay isolated from the politics outside of their sanctuary.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)

Bernard was very charismatic, and naturally a decent farmer from his Halfling background, however, he was not the toughest cookie. He has discipline, but not endurance.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)

Naturally, as a Halfling, he was very weak, however, this didn't bother him. He wishes to improve his ability to run away, however, as he sometimes gets a bit clutzy.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Bernard stands at a bold 2'7, with brown hair, beard, and eyes. He always wears the same red jacket.
