An Eye for Every Word

(OOC: PoV for another personas characters first moments!)

A log in the sub of a lich to Atlas can be found. The writing...meticulous.

A set of bright, blinded looking eyes dart around the inside of the shabby hood. This isn't darkness.

There isn't space, there is noises, it can feel. Things are touching it, bringing sensations it didn't feel in the empty. That endless nothing where all it could do was think and think and think and think. The beings in his place are looking at it? The eyes are all different, the heights and shapes are different, none of them are like it and its scaring it.

Shouting. The noises get louder, a sharp eared beings hand begins to glow, before a short being pulls it away, putting it inside of a smaller area, but no blue in the air this time. What is this? He hears noises, not its language, before the small being barged in the silver wall once more. Tentacles flare out, endless eyes coating most of its form as it bulks up at the being, staring and giving off a mist as chitin plates rapidly form and melt all over and yet it.

Yet it offers a thick appendage of its own out. It locks all hundreds of its eyes on it, before shrinking down to its smaller state. More words, but its watching. The being isn't afraid of an unknown it seems. It would die quickly in the void, it decides, but focuses on the noises for awhile.

"W'ere is ye 'ome?"

It takes awhile, but the small being says this enough for the meaning to come through.

"Hhhhhhhooooooooomee...eeeeeeemppptttyyyyyy"

The words are more like hisses, its mouth not quite made for speech, barbed tentacles clashing together and moving air just to manage those two words intricately. After a quizzical moment, small being understands, and takes it elsewhere.

Placed on a soft object, it peers around. A wooden half structure with brown bottles of liquid. Squares full of strange rectangles with words on them. Greenery and other unusual bits. It doesn't notice the small being handing it a long clothe and another object. It sits there not knowing what to do before small being chuckles, affixing the object to its face. Adjusting its eyes, it hears small being call it a mask. The clothe a cloak. To not be bothered, and treated fair.  What is fair?

Small being talks for a long time. Nothing specific sometimes, but it realizes that the thick short 'man', for genders have been explained, is merely talking to help it learn. It enjoys this, and listens for awhile. Before long, he pulls one of the rectangles loose and puts it onto its lap. He says alphabet, words written onto books, books being words recorded forever as information.

"Tthhhhhhhhhhank yoooou"

"Nay an' issue, jus'...do you 'ave a name mate?"

"...Thhiissssss one wassss callled Zekt'ira.."

I've watched living and dead fight so much, and learned a lot. This dwarf continues to surprise me however. He's using my blood to cure the poison spreading through the Thahnium. I'll note this in my studies, maybe Beranabus would enjoy this discovery.

I watch people build these ships, and run. I could just go home, but its empty there. People like that dwarf still exist as well, so it's not as lonely here. I've still a debt to repay for that book anyways, and for giving me words. It shuffles itself, tentacles undulating and eyes peering everywhere from parts beneath cloak, hoping this new world brings new information.

After all, with all its eyes, it needs a lot of words to keep them all busy
