All manner of Temple inhabitants gathered in the main hall as the Consuls called the meeting to order. The room was filled with muttering as the gathered dwed traded theories as to why they had been summoned and this went on for several minutes before finally Zahrer Irongrinder entered alongside Fili Grandaxe and they assumed their places before the assembly. With a loud pounding of staff against stonework, the room fell silent. Where normally he would use a Belka rune to amplify his voice, Zahrer spoke rather plainly considering the number of dwed  who had been sent out on excursions.

“My faithful kin, today we gather to bring to light one of the quiet stories of ages past and honor a hero who many today no longer remember. Yet through the hard work and study of one of our Consuls, Fili Grandaxe, we once more have a pieced together tale that enlightens us on our own history and that of the dwed Barradin.

When I was a young dwed I grew up on tales of the warriors of old and the mighty deeds that inspired generations of our kin to hold back the darkness and preserve The Balance for centuries. Long has it been since we have so rightly honored our fallen as to call them heroes of a generation and venerated them above all other kin in such a way as when I was a beardling. Yet now we shall do so once more! It is the will of this Temple that we shall name him Paragon Barradin, son of Brundir, Defender of Khaz’Urguan and Warden of Winter.”

With that he fell silent and a smattering of applause ringed the room as Fili gestured to one of the Postulants who began to distribute copies of the tale.
