Out-Of-Character:

-Minecraft Account Name:Kanrath

-How old are you?: 25

-Time-Zone/Country of Residence: est timezone USA

-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes

-Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm a 25 year old smart housing technician currently on disability. I have quite a bit of experience with role playing and am currently trying to find a new game/server to join that shares the same interest.

-How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Varies, though I can be on anywhere from 1-2 hours to 10hrs+. I try not to play constantly for long periods of time as I burn out on games quite quickly if I stop finding new things to do.

-How long have you played minecraft?: about a year

-What do you know about role playing? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I've been Role playing since Ever quest came out. I played Neverwinter nights for many years, consistently on rp servers and have role played on numerous MMOs. Most of my role play has involved fantasy settings like D&D though some have involved zombie outbreaks or Armageddon scenarios. Role play is the portrayal of a character in a manner fitting the scenario the character is in. To roleplay one demonstrates emotions and actions befitting their character. One must at all times keep in character fitting the time period/realm of the story and lore behind the server as well, less one creates a situation where the immersion a roleplaying server goes for is lost because of one or more players failure to abide the basic etiquette of roleplay. OOC should be used as little as possible and only when its needed to clarify a problem.

-What do you expect this server will be like?: I am unsure, from what I have read and seen it seems to be a fantasy based minecraft server that caters to both younger aged players and more skilled mature role players alike. I also noticed the mention of various mods which is a plus I often find in servers if done right. I expect it is a server that tries to immerse its players in a world of fantasy while also trying for a world run by said players not some rarely seen NPC.

-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've mostly stuck to solo play, though I've played a few RP and Pvp servers that are no longer up. My last server I played on was minecraftsquare since a few of my friends had been playing there a while.

-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Yes and yes, as lore has always been one of if not my biggest fascinations with role play.

-Name the 4 races on this server. Humans, orcs, elves, dwarves

-How did you hear about us?: Minecraft forums

-Did you vote?: Yes

-What was your favorite Law?: "typical laws do not apply to the wilds so travelers must take great care when traversing them"

-What was your least favourite Law?: None of them really struck me as odd and most are basic courtesy. Though I am confused on how punishment works, as one post I read mentioned being banned for killing a raider unless one shows suitable use of roleplay and such. I would assume if someone was raiding your house ect one would have the right to slaughter said raider with the up most impunity deserved of such a villain, just as one would do in real life yes? no warnings, no threats, simple beautifully cold steel

-What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? Kanrath

In-Character:

-Character Name:Kan Selnor

-What is your Race?: Human

-Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Kanrath

-Biography: Kan Selnor is a woodsman and hunter who just finished a very long apprenticeship and has now gone off on his own to make a living for himself. During the years of his apprenticeship he has learned many useful skills for one who will spend most of his time in the forests, deserts and other inhospitable lands. He has no current surviving family so there was no one to hold him back when he decided to leave town two months later and heat off to make his own way. Currently he lives in a small wood and stone cabin he created himself and trains to be stronger and smarter when hunting many of the hostile creatures that hunt at night that his master held him back from hunting during his apprenticeship. Once a month he returns to a near by city with meats and other parts of his prey to sell off and buy new supplies. On rare occasions he will make a bargain with a local merchant to bring back the odd Ender's Pearl or slime balls, though these better paying jobs are few and far between.

Having been born in Oren to a merchant family Kan, as that was his given name, grew up in well to do surroundings. His father was often away on trips to acquire new trade partners so most of the time it was just his mother taking care of him and his two younger siblings. Many of his days were spent wandering the woods climbing trees and swimming in the cold streams and lakes near Oren, while his siblings studied with the local scholars to become skilled merchants themselves when they were older. Kan himself though had never cared for the merchant way, at least not one that involved dealing with people who would gladly stab you in the back for some extra gold. As he often told his mother he wanted to explore the world and perhaps one day visit the ancient Elven city of Malinor to learn from the elves the way of the bow.

It was on his fourteenth birthday that things would change for Kan Selnor. Every year on his birthday the family went out for a ride to a near by town so his father could introduce Kan to one of the local merchants his father did business with, in the hopes that when he took over he would use these connections. This day would be different though, for on approaching the town there were no cries of hello from the walls, no sounds of a bustling town only the cawing of large black birds as they pecked at things out of sight. Drawing his blade Kan's father bade them to stay back as he approached a man leaning against the gate. Quietly he inquired to the mans health. On receiving no reply he once more inquired to the mans health this time loud enough no man less he was deaf could not of heard him. On once again receiving no answer Kan's father approached the man and gave him a tap on his shoulder. As he did the man's hand fell from where it had rested, revealing the broken end of a blade piercing through the dead mans gut pinning him to the wall.

Suddenly shouts rose up from the woods and a group of orc bandits leapt from the bushes brandishing various sharp instruments of murder. As they approached Kan and the rest of the family his father shouted for the orcs to stop and face him, but they continued on ignoring the old man. As the orcs came withing a few feet of the family they left the old man little choice in the matter so with a roar of a desperate man the old man threw a dagger at the nearest orc taking it at the throat, more of sheer luck then skill. As one the orcs turned on the old man and charged him shouting in their blood lust, swinging their swords for his head the old man turned and ran, shouting challenges at the orcs to try to draw them away. Seizing the opportunity Kan and the rest of the family turned and ran.

Two weeks later Kan would stumble out of the woods near Oren a mess, covered in blood and barely alive he would tell a tale of how a sword cut his arm to the bone as he ran past the orcs. Of how his family softened by years of study and house work would lag behind and soon be over run by the orcs, taken alive to some untold fate. Of how he continued to run for rest of that day well into the night avoiding the beasts and creatures that wandered the woods only by sheer luck. Of how for nearly two weeks he hid in the woods buried in a tiny shelter of dirt and pine branches, eating what fruit he could find during the day. And finally how two days ago a strange figure, just a shadow in the corner of his eye had guided him back home to Oren.

Few believed that some shadowed being had saved Kan's life, that more likely he had simply wandered by luck back to town. Four years later that same shadowed figure would show up in town revealing himself to be a man. He had returned looking for Kan Selnor having determined during those 3 days he had guided him home that he would take him as his apprentice when he was old enough and recovered from his wounds. Agreeing to this Kan would spend the next ten years training with Dolth Selnor as a ranger learning many secrets of the world, trained in ways of stalking, hiding, and survival. Ten years later Kan would take the old mans last name as his own the day he passed his masters final test, tracking down and slaying the orc leader that had taken his family from him.

-Character Age:28

-Character Appearance: Tan skin with a large scar running from elbow to wrist. Hair is an unkempt dark brown mess. Eyes are a deep blue with silver flecks. Seems to have an average muscle build on a lithe frame, though he can pull bursts of strength from then when in need. Wears your average dark brown or dark grey woodsman's tunic and pants with a short sword at his belt and a yew short bow unstrung on his back with a hood covering his hair to keep it from getting caught in the branches as he runs.

-Character Personality: Gruff, somewhat introverted, though seems to happily wade into a fight if its for the right cause. Speaks with a mild tone that turns into a roar when angered. Seems to cuss, a lot, at everything (though kept to a minimum of course in game for the sake of the younger players) though this is most likely due to not being around people most of his life so he was never taught proper etiquette when speaking to others .

-Your ambitions: To become hunter, seeking out the creatures of the world for their choicest bits. Taking from the earth what he needs to survive then selling the rest to the high and mighty lords back in their happy castles. And to watch for opportunities when they rise to grab them with both hands

-Can your character read or write?: Yes, as the son of a well to do merchant he was taught how to read and write with the hopes he would continue the trade when his father passed.

-Can your character mine?: He is able to shape stone to his basic needs, though he has very little skill when it comes to extracting valuable ores. Currently he is attempting to teach himself the basics of coal extraction and may over time progress further if he can find someone to show him how to mine properly.

-Are you a capable builder? Hide holes, cabins in the woods ect. Small stuff that is harder to spot in the woods and other biomes but none of that big fancy stuff.

-Can you wield a sword?: Yes as well as a bow.

-Enjoy Farming?: Enjoy it? No. Know how to? Enough to survive and feed himself, but that is it.

-Does your character have any special skills?: Tracking, stealth. Long distance accuracy with a bow, though I suppose these are less special skills then simply skills a woodsman/ranger accrues over the years of training. ]

-A screenshot of your skin: WIP skin hoodless2.png

-Other Information: The biography is currently a WIP, though you can get a good idea of the character I'm aiming for by reading whats above. The above skin is one created by me that Im working on still, though it is usable.

Currently Im working on creating various skins, hood up, hood down, ect. Though I need to work on the eyes they seem off to me for some reason.
