Introduction

 

The Company of Gladewynn, also known as the Enclave of Gladewynn, was declared a free and independent state by Kairn Ithelanen as of the 15th of the Sun’s Smile, 1686. The city-state consists of many elves who have renounced their affiliations with the Dominion of Malin as to have the freedom to take on mercenary contracts, laxer laws on mercantile operations, and freedom from the weaknesses that plague the other Elven States.

 

Following the capture of Queen Renn Calithil at the hands of the September Prince, the Ithelanen and Torena clans resented the lack of foresight and planning involved with the skirmishes in the Wonka Woods and left the city in pursuit of a greater goal: an elven state dedicated to strength, nobility and honorable contracts, rather than the vain pursuit of relentless expansion and unsustained growth.

The Prince Kairn Ithelanen and Chieftain Damai Torena found themselves on the roads with their followers and eventually met with the Autarch of the Radiance, Auriel Lothryc. Agreeing at first to terms of nonaggression, Autarch Lothryc had proposed the opportunity to join a greater union. He accepted these terms to merge with the Immortals of the Amber Table and Ithelanen Brigade and thus the Enclave of Gladewynn was born.
