Hefty footsteps crack against the leaves and foliage reposing about the Wonkawood in the aftermath of the Siege of San’kala. As the younger and more pusillanimous among the Orcish ranks fled about the areas of San’kala, given chase by the Army of Man, Onyx-clad elves broke from the main ranks.

 

As the skirmishers of Vira’ker cut from the last remnants of the battle, their destination stood at a crucial, yet vulnerably susceptible point. Breaking between the lines and formations of their comrades in arms, the blood-marred ashen warriors darted through the woods as hands swiftly moved about clearing brush and other foliage obscuring the place of Canoes.

 

“Row,” croaked a hoarse elf, his Amber gaze swelling shut from the brutal melee that had occurred deep within San’kala. Among the sounds of victory and looting, they peregrinated, oars and paddles breaking through the waters as they row, coming upon the Great shrine of Laklul, Spirit of the Swamps, a risen torch lighting, its crackle breaking into the subtle sounds of nature followed by a great thump and splitting of wood sounding, the Mali’ker having pinned notice to the shrine afore returning to their canoes once more, leaving a simple note and nothing more as they moved onwards to the next.
