Bipolar dream

Deep underground in the northern regions of Atlas, a man stood firmly in front of a tomb.
Bearing the name of D’Auvergne, the tomb had been hidden so that none would desecrate it.

”They’ve escaped, at last the specter of annihilation no longer floats above us, mother.”

The cavern had been dug by the mourner decades before, its walls covered in engravings that some would recognize in a heartbeat
, a flower of ice blooming over a city, a city in the north falling to a siege, and a subsequent exile into tropical islands. The engravings told a story.

”You said that he would come when we were in danger, and you were right, although his protection now gone i don’t know how things will turn out now.”
“...”
A peculiar staff stood planted behind the tomb, it was a bronze staff with a strangely shaped hole on-top of it. When a breeze came through the cavern, the staff would begin to sing.
The man placed a chained cross of Lorraine around the staff.
”Thank you. For saving me.”

The man stood still for a few minutes before backing off and climbing the stairs that led out of the cave, all whilst the staff sung to the rhythm of the breeze.
