Evonpire 2014 Share Posted August 27, 2019 ━━━━━━━━┛ ✦ ┗━━━━━━━━ (所有的美) “There is beauty in all” Liao Family motto (The Jade Dao, the icon of Liao) ━━━ The Liao family have always been present in the Hou-Zi, tracing back to the days of Hou Shen. Then they were a small and unimportant family, holding a small piece of land south of the capital Jing-Taiyun, serving as an isolated luxury goods manufacturing colony. The village of which the Liaos ruled over was mostly populated with Fei-Zhu, the effects of the Fei-Zhu population are seen to this day in their abnormal (for a Fei-Zhu) interest in cultural and making them, giving them an innate interest (however not skill) in blacksmithing ornamental weapons and armor which are more works of art then functional equipment, jewel/stone carving having many great but forgotten jade sculptures made by Liao artstians in the past. However, the most notable of the arts which Liaos take up is the art of music, having a genetic mutation of letting male Liaos create a “howl” of sorts, a unique deep sound, however no louder than a standard shout. usually combined with their natural singing voice to create deep, booming sounds to add to the music. In addition to this it is standard for a Liao child to be taught the musical arts by their own parents, or should parents not be present due to death or other circumstances the family head shall teach, if they’re capable of. An “art” should you consider it one, the Liao also try to master is warfare. Whether it be the Guan Dao polearm or the one handed Dao sword, or the Gun bo staff, the Liao appreciate and value the grace and word of a good warrior. Along with the value of art of war and the interest of blacksmithing of Liaos. this usually makes most Liaos a rare sight as a martial Fei-Zhu, as it’s not a common trait of the subspecies. Another common practice which has sprung from this are Liaos are very connected with their weapons, naming them as if it was any other work of art. This is thought to have come from the Jade wars where, the relatively peaceful Fei-Zhu village had to take on other Hou in battle as all organization and resemblance of a government crumbled. ━━━ A Liao warsinger leaping into battle, screaming a hymn to help his fellow Hous morale ━━━ In the insentisity of Jade wars, a new social class within the Liao family was born called warsingers, proven warriors of the Liao and accomplished vocalists, known for singing traditional hou hymns to raise morale, while still being skilled warriors. The Liao family, while not religious is a family of purely Shenjiao and many noble Liaos were supportive of the decision to Hualian and some to this day view him as a traitor to Fei-Zhu culture. A shrine to Hou-Xiao is usually made in each Liao home, viewing him as the patron God, along with Hou Shen. However in modern Hou history with the government returning the fold, taking a position among the leadership of the former State of Shen and council position in the current Jade Republic, with the current Huangdi being Liao Chen, after the destruction of New Jing-Taiyun and the death of Hsieh-Xin at the hands of a voidial horror. Still trying to recover their lost history, after much of it was forgotten after Hou civilization collapsed. ━━━━━━━━┓ ✦ ┏━━━━━━━━ ((Joining)) ((If you’re making a hou and are interested, in joining feel free to PM me at Evonpire#0044 and we can talk or if you’re thinking of making a Hou-Zi contact me as well and I can help you!))
