[!] This historical text can be found in the Mali’aheral history section of the Eternal Library.

Long ago there were four brothers, each the first of the descendent races. These four brothers were known as Malin, father of the elves, Krug, father of Uruks, Horen, father of humans, and Urguan, father of the dwarves. Malin created a kingdom in which Larihei was a trusted advisor. Though, Larihei asked for no reward, she simply studied in the library preferring scholarly pursuits. Upon the discovery of the Aspects and World Altars, Larihei apprised Malin of the dangers of using these artifacts. Malin did not listen to Larhei’s wisdom and her advice was ignored. Malin chose to listen to the Archdruids instead of Larihei and the World Altar eventually led to the taint of forests and the forests turning feral.
While the people of Malinor grew content with the ways of the Aspects, Larihei and a group of her followers began to study the void. Larihei and her companions discovered the first evocations, transfiguration, and translocation. Larihei ensured that these progressions with gaining knowledge of the void were slow and controlled. These discoveries started to change and improve the lifestyle of the Mali’.
Malin, however, grew weary and afraid of Larihei’s arcane prowess. Malin betrayed Larihei and banished the practice of the voidal arts, even though this was the only thing Larihei had asked for during her centuries-long tenure as an advisor. Larihei and her followers refused to stop their studies and retreated into caves. In these caves they discovered the golden pools.
Larihei and her followers bathed in these golden pools for centuries. However, they began to notice changes due to this; their ears grew longer, their hair lightened and gleamed, their arcane prowess grew stronger, they became more intelligent than their fellow Mali, they became taller, and their eyes became lighter as well, filling with silver deposits.  Their skin was clearer and they became revered for beauty. They turned into the Mali’thill, high elves.
As the newly changed Mali’thill returned to Malinor, the elves of the old became bitter and jealous of their changes. They lashed out and burned down the homes of the ‘thill. The tensions continued to rise and Malin was missing. Larihei saw this as an opportunity and announced the establishment of elCihi’thilln, or the Silver City.
elChihi’thilln was a place for the mali’thill to thrive with their scholarly pursuits with the void. They continued on, despite the resistance from the elves of Malinor. Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya kept the mali’aheral united and has continued to lead our people for centuries.
