thesmellypocket 1859 Share Posted September 26, 2019 PRAYERS TO BE PRAYED DAILY FOR THE SALVATION OF RUBERN BR. PHILIP PIUS COPPINGER. FOR THE PRINCE’s VICTORY V : O Lord save our Prince Vladrick, R : and hear we who invoke Thee on this day. V : Let us pray. Almighty and everlasting God, who hath given unto us all the Saints, grant, we beseech Thee, that thy servant Vladrick, our prince, who by Thy mercy hath undertaken the government of this realm, may advance in all virtues; that being meetly adorned therewith, he may be able to triumph over the enemy that afflict us, and come to Thee, who art the way, the truth and the life. R : Amen. FOR COURAGE IN BATTLE Let us pray. O noble and innocent Saint Emma, who didst receive the call to fight, grant, through thy prayers to God, that same courage that didst inspire thee to incredible acts of courage. Grant the men of the Black Company an increase in all virtues of bravery, meekness and honour, and the same give to the foot soldiers. For we know that victory is not in the number of the multitude, but strength cometh from heaven: as thou, an humble maid, was able, by God’s grace, to prove this point, grant that our faith may prove it in like manner. And most of all, O God, do Thou have mercy on us. R : Amen. FOR THE CONVERSION OF THE ORCS Let us pray. O blessed Saint Emma, look down in mercy upon Rubern, thy Dowry, and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee. We know that our manifold sins have caused this scourge of Orcs, and, in recognition thereof, do thou pray that God mayst rebuke them, and achieve their conversion. That the curse of Krug may be laid apart, and that they may come to the fullness of truth and virtue. R : Amen. DOMINUS REGIT ME (PSALM) V : The Lord ruleth me, I shall want for nothing. R : He makes me down to lie, in pastures green, He leadeth me, the quiet waters by. V : He hath revived my soul. R : And guided me along the right path for His name’s sake. V : For though I should walk in the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil. R : For Thou art with me, Thy rod and Thy staff, they have been a comfort to me. V : Thou hast prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies. R : Thou hast annointed my head with oil. V : And the chalice which inebriateth me, how goodly is it! R : And Thy mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. V : And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
