PREAMBLE

 

The Office of the Chamberlain has seen fit to merge the Seats of Representative of the Freemen and Alder of Montburgh within the Estates. The Duchess has subsequently relinquished the responsibilities of the Alderwoman position so that the First Steward, Marilena of Montbugh, may serve as interim Alderwoman until the next election cycle is complete.

THE ELECTION
 

I. THE ALDER OF MONTBURGH

A. The Alder of Montburgh shall serve a four year [4 IRL weeks] term before the next election cycle begins.

B. The Alder of Montbugh will be paid a yearly salary as an employee underneath the Ducal Throne.

C. The Alder of Montburgh is granted one voting seat on the Estates of Morsgrad and is welcome to present any an all concerns and ideas before the Estates and Council. They are responsible for representing any Clanless and Houseless citizens, also known as the Freemen of Morsgrad.

D. The Alder will take charge of the organization of the Stewards of Montburgh and the Planning Committee. 

E. The Alder of Montburgh shall not be a member of any of the Estates of Morsgrad, and rather one of the Freemen of Morsgrad.

II. NOMINATIONS

A. Any registered citizen of the Duchy of Morsgrad may nominate themselves and campaign for the position of Alder of Montburgh.

B. Those who nominate are required to declare so within the month [24 hours after this is posted], and present a speech before the citizens of the realm.

III. ELECTION

A. Only registered citizens of the Duchy of Morsgrad may vote in the election.

B. Any that submit votes and are found during counting to not be a registered citizen of the Duchy of Morsgrad will have their vote nulled and shall be fined FIVE Nordish Marks. 

C. Voting shall open three months [72 hours after this is posted] after the start of nominations and campaigning.
