The Third Session of the Ashen Council

Preamble

---

For too long the affairs of the realm have been handled exclusively by the Ducal Throne. Thus we the sovereign do reform the Ashen Council into its Third session in Morsgrad. Hereafter shall be disclosed our appointments to that body of councillors. However, the astute shall notice our suspension of the office of Marshal. This office shall henceforth be disbanded, the supreme command of the Highland, and Northern armies shall rest exclusively with the Ducal Throne. Having established the Highland Realm for the purpose of safeguarding the Highland peopels and the Northlands wherein they dwell henceforth appoints of a military nature shall be referenced as Wardens.

Wardens shall be charged with commanding the defence and garrisoning of a vital defensive gate to our realm. Be it a cardinal gate granting entrance to the realm proper to supreme command of a city’s garrison. These men shall serve as the shields of the realm and shall bar the slings and arrows of the world from assailing the Highland folk dwelling under my protection. To them I place perhaps my highest trust. May they keep the path.
