Aroen Velulaei’onn, founder of the Renelian Union and first King of Renelia. At his ascent, few among our kind saw any less than an idol; he brought us great riches, but all eras must eventually end. We must never forget how Aroen has contributed to our shared peoples. He has failed in the continuing upkeep of his own Kingdom and people, but we must not forget the chance he provided for the Ashen Folk.

 

It is with great sadness however, that we must move on. As many are aware, Aroen has spent the last decade fading in and out of consciousness, and the last four years comatose and bedridden. A great tragedy befalls our proud nation even as we find peace once more, as our king has passed away from his sickness. Let him take a place among the revered Ancestors, as he deserves.

 

Renelia, however, must look to the future, and a new king must take his seat upon the Mortal Throne. As is tradition, the Velulaei’onn have gathered in our clan hall and taken vote to confirm Aroen’s choice of heir. It is my great joy and solemn duty in filling this role, and as such a coronation will be held promptly so as to secure our throne once more.

 

Aroen succeeding in restoring sovereignty to the Ashen Folk; I will succeed in uniting us under a collective banner once more, and lead our people towards a bright future.

 

We hereby invite any and all allies of The Kingdom of Renelia to attend the coronation, taking place within the city of  New Magara’lin, in three Ashen Nights.
