Musings on the Ruby of Humanity

I have only frequented it a few times, the Jewel of Humanity.

 

It’s shrouded by azure waters, brilliant and occasionally mounted by grand yachts, home to honest fishermen, who earn their wages by providing sustenance to the people.

 

It reminds me of home - my dear Reza, in that sense. Both are beautiful, yet upon setting sight on the treasured Gem of Oren -- Helena, as it is known officially -- even a girl in my young age can come to be entranced by it, nearly forgetting anything else!

 

As I traversed the city with my cousin and sister, Lord Siguine and Viktoria, I encountered various novelties and was introduced to a wisened dwarf known as Aengoth, by the Archchancellor  Basrid’s kind will. Graciously, the hardworking smith gifted His Majesty’s betrothed, Viktoria, and I two lanterns that, when touched, bestowed upon us a sweet memory of a bygone camp, laden with a pleasant air and campfire.

 

Therein, on my next venture, I had the pleasure of meeting the Princess Imperial and Duke of Helena, the very two who shall one day guide us. They touched my heart with their kindness and humility, and I will only strive to achieve similar gentility as I grow eventually into a young woman.

 

With all that, I can certainly say the magnificent city, and the warm and ambitious people residing in it, are exemplar, and too, pillars of heartlandish tradition -- one that intrigues me, despite my love for my very own culture.

 

It has so much to offer, as does any fortunate soul whom desires honest work and companionship. 

 

To my beloved Empire… oh, how I love you!
