A Call For Aid From A Cartographer

A letter would be sent out to every settlement of note, passed along trade routes by caravans coming down from the north, carrying a rough outline of the Arcasian peninsula.

 

 

 

To all stewards, landholders, and fellow cartographers of Arcas,

It has now been over fifty years since a comprehensive political map of our lands was compiled, and what we are left with is horrendously outdated. Over the past week I have reached out to many of the northern realms to establish what each of them states as their territorial claims, so as to make it easier for traders and travellers alike to know who’s land they walk on, and who’s laws apply there.

 

To date the realms of the Orenian Empire, the Underkingdom of Urguan, the Princedom of Fenn, and the so called “Highland Realm”, have all given to the public their nations’ maps to be compiled. 

 

To create a comprehensive map requires the collaboration of learned folk from every corner of Arcas, and I’m therefore calling out to anybody with information that would be useful here to send word of this to Abram Stalistena of Reza.

 

The information sought is as follows, and can be either sent publicly or by private courier:

 

Name of sovereign body, and major settlements within

International borders and claims,

National colours to be used to demarcate the edges of these claims

Two colours for each settlement marked on the map

Approximate populations of each settlement,
