Commissioned by the Lieutenant Governor of Kaedrin, The Rt. Hon. The Count Rochefort, Richard Victor, at the pleasure of the Crown.

PREAMBLE

The Commonwealth of Kaedrin in modernity is marked as the third realm to bear such a name. The oldest such state, the Kingdom of Kaedrin, was held cum terra by the Chivay dynasts from the year 1414 to 1420, while its territories were de facto ruled by the Order of the White Rose until 1426, when the lands were ceded to the Harrenite kings. It was temporarily restored in the year 1456 and would last again until 1467 as the Crownlands title of the Third Empire, until said empire’s collapse at the hands of Vibius de Sola in that same year.

The First Commonwealth of Kaedrin, known in Imperial circles as the Savoyard Commonwealth, was formed as a frontier state under the de Bar kings in Oren, and was held cum terra by Cantonus of the House of Chivay from 1518 until the 1543 Act of Merger, which granted both its title and territories to the d’Amaury dukes of Lorraine. While this Commonwealth was for all intents and purposes a pseudo-ducal title, it held both the lineage and legend of the Kaedreni kingdom.

In the time immediately preceding the Second Commonwealth, the region surrounding Mt. Ste. Catherine was ruled by the Republic of Ves, centered around its Grand City. Called for a time the Duchy of Adria, a defunct title from its sacking by Antonius, Emperor of Man, in the year 1711, the Republic of Ves was a central point in the War of Two Emperors, and many of the titles created in its time were grandfathered into this roll of arms.

The Second Commonwealth of Kaedrin, known colloquially as the New Commonwealth, was established by King Adrian’s Articles, dated 1726, and was held cum terra in the territories previously making up the Republic of Ves. It was held by Adrian of the House of Helvets until his death in 1750, at which time Peter of the House of Helane, Emperor Peter III, was selected as the new king, and the title held in dominion whilst its realms were de facto administered by the Helvets dukes of Cathalon.

Each peer whom, at the time of their accession, belonged to a house that had not yet ruled Kaedrin, and does not yet have the modifier “de” in their names, is labelled “[House Name] de [Blank]”, [Blank] being their primary Kaedreni title, to differentiate between Kaedreni branches [such as in the case of the House of Marna] and their potential branches or titles elsewhere in the realms of Man.

Within the Commonwealth, there are four [4] extant peerages, out of twenty [20] peerages confirmed through its history. Of the twenty peerages, nine [9] such titles were granted in the Kingdom of Kaedrin, three [3] in the First Commonwealth, and eight [8] granted in modernity. Of extant peerages, there is one [1] extant ducal peerage, two [2] extant vicecomital peerages, and one [1] extant comital peerage. Of all peerages both extant and dormant, there have been four [4] ducal peerages, eleven [11] comital peerages, two [2] vicecomitals peerage, and three [3] baronial peerages.
