The winter’s eve brings with it the cold hush of the wind, a city sat atop a mountain remains silent to those outside its marble walls. But this does nothing to contain the cries of betrayal that echo from within. The people know the truth. Despite the honeyed smiles and cooing words from their council, they know. Azorella Elibar’acal’s murder was ignored by the council, as they tried to strip away the centuries of meaning behind the word Maheral. Centuries they were not there for, did not learn of, and intentionally cast a blind eye to. The council did not choose Haelun’or-- they chose themselves. But the people know the truth. And the people shall not so easily forget the wrongs committed. Azorella Elibar’acal, who was robbed of her life, will not be robbed of her legacy.
