Maehr malz

Maehr malz a concept of the Jusmia religion. A single Maehr malz is earned by a Jusmia for

 

• Each spirit shrine that is constructed. 

 

• Each offering that's given or burned at a shrine. 

 

• Teaching someone of a spirit they did not know. 

 

• Undertaking and completing a deed for a spirit. 

 

• Learning of the Jusmia Ancestral Pantheon. (Consult local elder). 

 

• Teaching Jusmia of the Ancestral Pantheon. 

 

The use of Maehr malz serves as a form of currency for Jusmia in their ancestral hall. This allows one to get better lodgings in the after-life and favors. Maehr Malz can be earned in the Stargush though most start early. 

 

Each Jusmia at the beginning of each year starts with 0 Maehr malz. Through the year, they may add more to their collective total. This will reset to zero at the beginning of each year.  Maehr malz is overseen by Agate himself in the lands beyond. Who keeps tally of each Jusmia. 

 

The Maehr malz reputation system was started before Agates death. Since its use, the Jusmia halls beyond once more operate smoothly with a stimulated economy based on favor. 

 

There are acts that will subtract total Maehr malz from a Jusmia. Such as

 

• Murder. (Does not include self-defense.)  

 

• Attempting to speak with one of the five first Jusmia, without an invitation to the realm. (Lutuamancers are generally not welcome. This hall is for the dead, not you.) 

 

Upon the arrival of a new Jusmia soul. Agate tallies the points to determine the Jusmia's place in the afterlife. He will judge their life first and reward or subtract Maehr malz.  Then he will add the total sum of collected points. Agate will place the new arrival somewhere in the hall based upon total sum of Maehr malz.
