A CALL TO ARMS

 

Leufroy d’Amaury would sit onto a small wooden chair, flanked by a soldier of the Red Stripes. Silence had dominated the room, but the young adolescent would break it by aggressively underlining some made up name: he had finished a missive. 

 

As the soldier grabbed the missive from Leufroy, his eyes would dart all over the paper. He then turned visibly upset, lowering the missive to look straight at the young one: who turned mad at the sight of the soldier’s emotions: “In a world full of liars, we aren’t going to be f***king liars, and we’re going to write the truth. Understand?” The soldier nodded and Leufroy mumbled, “victors write the history books anyways, it’s our duty.”

 

The missive contained the following: 

 

“To all who it may concern,

 

Our Red Stripes Patrol came across Hangmen outlaws who were actively attacking an Elven settlement. Our soldiers flanked the Hangmen, who were seemingly operated efficiently and in unison against struggling Elves. 

 

As they reposition behind some rocks for cover, our patrol would fire at the Hangmen, who form a shield wall. This distraction allows for the Elves to retreat back into the city, using their Druid magic.

 

Our patrol noticed that they were outnumbered, and decided to retreat behind the gates with the Elves. This was followed by the Hangmen dispersing into the forests. 

 

To those free men who see our cause to be a true one, and wish to aid us in our ventures, further a notice to Caer Vernon.
