ive recently been thinking about the community here at aegis, and how i could help them.

when i came to realize, that its very hard, when first starting out.even if you know what your doing.youd have to either go out and fight monsters all night, and hope you dont die or starve;or do odd jobs for people, hope they pay well enough, and hope you dont die or starve.

all the while, carrying everything with you,for lack of a safe place to put it,for fear if you place it in a chest it will be stolen.eventually you die and lose everything and start over.

i was thinking for a solution and it came to me suddently:

in the capital city of each nation,a new district could be built, contstructed of Cheap housing, built very close together, and very numerous.the materials would be relativly cheap, and the houses could be sold for (an estimated amount of) 50-200 minas! the answer?

Mushrooms! in this picture is two of the "mushroom district"s each one holding twenty one people in such a small space,no more is massive plots of land needed for a safehaven of your own!

in the center of each mushroom district is a community mushroom, which could be used as a common area

here is the entrance to one of the homes, the bottom ladder could be replaced with signs for identification.

this is the interior, its best described as..well lets say its "cozy" it is meant to be temporary afterall, until one can get on there feet.

i do believe its a good way to help new players.it wouldnt take very much room to host a large amount of homeless players,i estimate that you would need no more that 25 per nation (hopefully we dont have that many homeless, but homes could be built as nessacary),and it would be relatively cheap to constuct.it would fit in most areas somewhat easily.the closeness of the homes would encourage players to talk and RP with each other, giving them extra practice.opinions?

I quite like the idea. We offer something similar but in the style of a regular inn. Free accomodation basically.

If yer need my help yer have it.

My name is Lirinya an' I can be found in or around Laurelin.

I think this is a great idea. I really love the mushrooms, and to have a home inside one would be just awesome.

Mushrooms may not be good for kingdoms such as oren, but the materials could be switched out, such as wool instead of the mushroom for oren, or stone instead of mushrooms for dwarves. Orcs... sand? Then again, orcs wouldn't be too into giving stuff away for cheap to some random newcomer.

((actually mushroom grow everywhere (except maybe the desert) so they could fit ANY biome, and thus every nation except potentially the orcs. but im suggesting this for the elven nation First as a test of sorts, and if it works well, why not help our fellow Aegians?))

(Not referring to biomes, refering to architectural laws.)

((you know how each and every nation has its architecture? Mushroom complex like these WILL be destroyed if they do not follow the architectural laws. I'm refering to the server architectural laws, as in the ones in the lore.))

((ah,makes sense that way. Well it's nature,so it fits elves,

Mushroom grow in caves so that's dwarves.I suppose humans and orcs will have to come up with something else :P))

This seems structurally unsafe. Any moment those fungi will fall over and all of the wood will fall down.

As long as you limit it to one person per home it should be alright haha
