A beautiful young woman who finds herself in abominable circumstances - forced against her will to marry a man many times her age. After a grisly miscarriage, she runs away from her husband and seeks solace in the arms of her former lover, Siegmund Carrion. She hopes to rekindle the romance they once enjoyed... however, old wounds and fierce tempers prove to be a stumbling block. She is a passionate young woman endowed with a biting tongue and a ferocious temper. Difficult, hard to manage, and stubborn - yet possessing a deep desire to love and be loved. Siegmund Carrion - The Exalted Prophet of Auspice as a young man, years before he received his Holy Scroll. Not yet a figure of religious reverence, merely a man faced with an impossible decision. Does he shelter and aid the woman he used to love, betraying his liege lord in the process? He is a stoic figure, uncomfortable with passionate displays of feeling. Pragmatic and plainspoken, perhaps to a fault. Clad in black and often described as gloomy. In many ways, Lorin's foil - and yet the two opposites find it difficult to resist one another. He retains romantic feelings for Lorin, but is equally vexed and bedeviled by her temper, her overwhelming emotions, and her demands. Hadrian de Sarkozy - The figure of St. Adrian as a mortal man, when he reigned as a duke in the early empire. Polite on a surface level, but one can sense ceaseless machinations and manipulations roiling beneath his pleasant façade. He and Siegmund enjoy an intergenerational friendship. Helaine de Sarkozy - Hadrian's daughter. A sharp contrast to Lorin, she is mild-mannered with a gentle temper and a fervent religious devotion. From a young age, she heard stories about Siegmund from her father. She fell in love with the tales she heard about him, despite having never met the man in person. She holds an idealized image of Siegmund in her mind - one which he strives to embody in reality. Director Yuliya Styrne will be holding an OPEN CALL for auditions at the LA FLEUR THEATER in Providence. Prospective candidates will be asked to read a scene with one or more other actors.
