The left belongs to a male Scholar, and the right a female Sillumir.[art by @zanyssins on twitter] The Mali’thill are a resilient people - that much is certain. In respect to such, despite ill-intentioned foreign presences attempting to harm the Silver State - we move onwards. We progress forwards. The Mali’thill carve out their own path, one of progress, and we PROSPER in the face of all. In most recent times, Elcihi has truly blossomed. The Silver Citizenry fare well, our agricultural needs are well-met by most bountiful harvests : Larihei smiles upon the Children of Silver eternally. Yet, it is much past due time that the blessed Citizenry are given an event such as this. Tailors, vintners, singles - all Mali’thill are invited to attend our grand Dovetail Masquerade. The Dovetail Masquerade : Event Schedule-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [9pm GMT / 4pm EST] A Warm Welcome : As the event begins, we shall welcome in our guests as they slowly trickle in. Guests will be encouraged to pick up a Commemorative Pin upon entry, before indulging in some fruitful conversation with the rest of the party-goers. As well as a plentiful number of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, our guests are encouraged to try some of the various small-dishes prepared and available along the sides of the establishment. --- [10pm GMT / 5pm EST]A Radiant Rendezvous : After greeting all the other guests, eligible Mali’thill will be encouraged to take a coloured pin and all shall be asked to hold a ribboned glass. Each group of those with the same coloured pin shall consist of four members and is encouraged to socialise as a party for this section. The colour of the ribbon upon the glass shall signify one’s intent in attending. It is always most wonderful to be able to meet new individuals, get to know unfamiliar lliran - or perhaps even learn something new about lliran you already know-! --- [11pm GMT / 6pm EST]A Fine Performance : Organised by our most wonderful Okarir’maehr, party-goers will find great entertainment in the form of a most wonderful theatre performance. One looks forward to the show that the fabulous actors of the Silver State have to offer-! If any of the blessed Silver Citizenry might wish to audition for a role in the play, they must ensure their calendar is open for this time upon the night of the Masquerade. Auditions shall be held over the next two Elven Days. [FRIDAY & SATURDAY, 9 - 10pm GMT / 4 - 5pm EST ] --- [12pm GMT / 7pm EST]Silver-Dove’s Dance : To conclude the formal section of the night, the blessed Citizenry are asked to participate in the Silver-Dove’s Dance. This is to be a waltz, conducted in pairs, with the female dance-partner taking the leading role - to represent the lady Larihei - and the male dance-partner following - to represent the rest of the Mali’thill following in Her footsteps. The dance shall, of course, be accompanied by a beautiful piano-led orchestral composition. This night is certain to be one to remember. Once the Dance is completed, the Okarir’mali is to give a concluding speech, then allowing the Dovetail Masquerade to fold neatly into a more relaxed afterparty of fine socialisation and dancing until one might wish to retire to their chambers. Masquerade Dress Code-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- One is expected to attend in proper masquerade attire - a mask is most required! It is asked that this mask cover only the front of the face and not be fully-hooded, though one is encouraged to speak to Elokarir’mali if they have any complaints or inquiries upon this. The general colour-scheme is asked to be light colours : whites, pastels and silvers. Dulled-colours of a slightly darker variety are also acceptable, yet I’d ask none turn up looking like an impoverished Mali’ame, clothed in but tattered scraps of bright patchwork. For those less inclined towards tailorship, our wonderful Okarir’maehr has provided some lovely mask designs that one is permitted to use. Spoiler free-to-use masquerade masks!
