A Letter of Truth

[!] A letter bearing the seal of the Josephites would reach their candidates, sent to their mailboxes in each district, with an additional copy sent to Charles Galbraith.

To my fellow statesmen,

I hope this letter finds vy all well and in good health as we approach the first sitting of the Imperial Diet. Ironically enough, I find myself in turmoil even before we have all sat down as a caucus; perhaps a symptom of getting into something I did niet know I would. Sitting as a Member of the House is duly a notable venture, a seat and office that is revered with respect and service - or so I thought.

By now, I am sure vy all have heard of the nomination of Charles Galbraith to the position of Solicitor-General of the Sarkozy Ministry. Niet even days after this announcement, I was having tea with the Leader of the House, Keaghen Armas - when he revealed to me the political machinations of William Aubert.

Charles Galbraith is of the National party - but that is niet relevant. But, as it has been made apparent - politics is a game, my brothers, a game that William Aubert does niet want Charles to play. During my evening tea with Mr. Armas, he revealed to me that the Chairman of Charles’s own party, the Nationals, William Aubert - had intentionally asked him to rally the entire House and the Josephite caucus against the Sarkozy Ministry’s nomination of the Galbraith - in secret.

I am conflicted, my fellow Representatives. What kind of backdoor scheming has this House reverted to? Why sacrifice the modernity of parliamentary debate in exchange for the advent of party politics - for one’s own political gain? The banner of the Nationals under Vice Chancellor d’Azor worked towards meaningful governance, but I am sad to see it has degraded to one of political machinations. I can only pray for Mr. Aubert and Mr. Galbraith, and can only pray the light of Godan will guide the Josephites to do the right thing - for the country above party. For the Dignity of All.

Your humble servant,

Father Vinzant var Ruthern

"How scandalous." Otis comments, as he shook his head disapprovingly whilst reading. "What a mess the Nationalist party is."
