Sigvried 2 Share Posted September 30, 2011 So the news distribution is laughable, I have still seen billboards with messages from months ago. Okay so the most active people of the server join battles and listen to conversations of great impact on Aegis. They talk with guards and maybe even with Lords and Kings they are influential and have heaps of information and might even know the names of people they have never seen before. They know what is going on with the world and its people, but what about the others? Now I don't suggest that a handful of people dedicate themselves to travelling and delivering messages, news and perhaps packages alone. But to "join" this guild and when they have the time deliver news of events and information to this 'central hub'. The news from this hub will make its way to the billboards and ears of others and keep Aegis informed of events all over the globe.

Petyr 485 Share Posted September 30, 2011 Yes, I would love if couriers or town criers frequented towns instead of forum posts or server broadcasts.
Neri 3590 Share Posted September 30, 2011 How about a forum only available to couriers as a sort of repository? For example; Courier A gets 5 jobs. He takes the first one and completes it, while posting the other 4 onto the "Courier Repository" for other Couriers to do when possible. Courier B picks up a job, but he isn't very skilled in the field required. He posts up the job for other Couriers to take, perhaps taking a 5% cut for getting the job, etc. That way, there's a constant flow of jobs to do for Couriers, and everyone makes profit too! Kind of like a "Dead Drop" system where you find contracts scattered around, but more convenient.
Availer 681 Share Posted October 1, 2011 Because of the way games work, as in players are not always online to recieve couriers. That is why a message that stays on in one medium I.e a bulletin board or forum post is much more effective.
