Since the days of Saint Lucien of Ulmsbottom, the Ashford houses have stood together as brothers in blood and in spirit. Through shared saintly ancestors, entrusted Crowns of Oren and the sacred fraternity of battle, the line of Ashford de Bar has remained loyal to that of Ashford de Savoie. Two ancient pillars of Savoy's finest, each destined to share a mutual load in the other's stead in times of prosperity as well as times of hardship.

We are bound by name, we are bound by law and we are bound by honour.

Through the trials and tribulations of this succession, the trueborn heirs of King Guy de Bar - the House of Ashford de Bar - and its subjects in the Aurum Province of Niseep, do reaffirm:

   I. Recognition that the Principality of Savoy may only be led by a Prince of Savoy whose name is Ashford, and the government that he alone may choose delegate.
II. Recognition that any action made to undermine the Prince of Savoy's right to rule is treason, and courts execution.

III. Recognition that all vassals of Savoy and all levies under them are expected to rise to the defence of Our Crown, from which de Bar is no exception.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE Remus Lucien Robert Ferdinand Guy of The House of Ashford de Bar
Count of Niseep, Oracle of Savoy
