A hateful demise.

TW: Suicide.

The day was bright and not a cloud seemed to stain the sky. Nyx woke up like usual, she fed her calf and her parrot. Making sure George, her youngest was fed too. She then moved downstairs, pouring herself a glass of gin and humming around the house until she was sufficiently drunk.

Nyx finally sat on the floor in her drunken state and thought. First, she thought about her children, how she tried so hard to make sure they were safe. How she risked her life every single day for her eldest purely because Nyx once loved an elf.

Nyx then thought about her husband, Solomon. She thought about how stressed he was and how it was partially her fault. She thought about how much pain she had caused him despite loving him so much. How she had hurt him and made him worry. She rubs her shoulder, the scar that was almost in her chest if he hadn’t shoved the sword away. She thought about how much easier it’d be for him if she was gone.

Nyx finally thought of her mother. The mother who loved her unconditionally for years, even when she was gone, even when she was a pain, her mother still loved her. She began to cry then, thinking about how she almost watched Mali die in front of her eyes.

Her sobs echoed in the empty house, the house that always felt empty for months.

She drops her glass onto the ground, stepping through it without much care before she pulls out her longsword, holding it against her chest and finally pushing it in deep.

Nyx knew she wouldn’t leave an impression on the world.

Nyx just wanted everyone to finally be happy.

Nyx Ellerbrock-Ame’narnir Obedia was no more and that was probably a good thing.

Spoiler

OOC: Nyx was wonderful to play but these last few weeks have been really hard and I realised, I no longer enjoyed playing her and she seemed to be too annoying for people she is meant to get along with. I played her since I first joined the server and she’s changed a lot over my six months. I miss what she was but I think this chapter has come to a close. Thank you to everyone who enjoyed my presence and hers but she never really made many friends. Goodbye Nyx, you were something special but I think your time is over.

When Hileia went to visit she knock on the door only to be greeted by Solomon, a small conversation occurs between the two happened and when the news was told she began to cry, blaming herself she hit the nearest thing she could find breaking her hand in the process. She didn't care she just begin to walk away in bitterness uttering "Its my fault, I lashed out at her and felt so awful. I found her and now she is truly gone" then she head home locking herself away and not coming out

Malii'evarir had been spending some time in the forests of Almaris, needing a break from it all. Conflict, drama, fighting, work. It'd all become too much. After a month or so, she took herself back home. She'd left without warning after all, so probably best to return before she was assumed dead.

The day she returned, her home was attacked and destroyed. Her escape from conflict had lasted only as long as she was away. Sitting around a campfire while the village leader talked about plans to rebuild and move on, she idly thought about visiting her daughter. "She's probably worried sick" she thinks to herself. "I'll head on over after this meeting" is the last thing she thought before a familiar horse carrying a figure in familiar armour showed up at the camp.

Following the man to the side, Nyx's husband would tell Malii'evarir of her daughter's passing. Tears flooding her face, Malii'evarir begins to break down, Solomon throwing accusations that Malii'evarir was part of the cause with her dissapearance and recent fighting. After a brief shouting match, Solomon would leave and Malii'evarir was stood not knowing what to do.

Since then, Malii'evarir has speant her days doing what she can to honour her daughter's name and waiting for the day she can either lay her daughter to rest or visit a grave.

RIP Nyx, she was a key part of Malii'evarir's character and will be missed
