13th of Tobias’ Bounty, 1861

In The Aster Court’s mission to revive the arts, the empress has called for the members of her nation to take the time for introspection. We’ve become so busy as a whole during the war effort, that we have forgotten about what makes us who we are and what also defines us as Orenians: the very humanities themselves. For, what is more healing to the soul than pouring one’s heart into a poem, expressing one’s emotion via paint on a canvas, or taking up a lute and singing of one’s woes? It is time for us, as humans, to become inspired once more and explore the people we, ourselves, have evolved into since the start of this war.

To demonstrate her affinity for the humanities, Empress Anastasia has tasked herself with the writing and directing of a play. For this, Her Imperial Majesty has requested the aid of one lucky individual to come forward and offer their talents to assist in the play’s production.

Additionally, Empress Anastasia and the Princess Imperial are both looking to take on wards from the noble families of the realm. In doing this, it allows the child to grow up within the court and understand our nation’s customs to a more refined degree, while also ensuring that the next generation of courtiers will be well learned in the ways of Orenian culture and etiquette.

For more information regarding any of these opportunities, do not hesitate to seek out Miss Odessa at the palace, or leave a letter in the new mailbox located by the courtier entrance.

SIGNED,

HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Anastasia I, Holy Orenian Empress, forever August, Queen of Renatus, Curon, Kaedrin, Salvus, and Seventis, Grand Duchess of Ves, Duchess of Helena, Novellen, Furnestock, Adria, and Lorraine, Baroness of Renzfeld, Protector of the Heartlanders, Orenian Highlanders, and Farfolk, etcetera

HER EXCELLENCY, Miss Odessa MacPherson, Lady Chamberlain of the Aster Court

Browsing over the letter did one old,

decrepit man smile. “This will be wonderful for my stage career,” he said. Whistling some long unsung battle hymn to himself, he sealed up an envelope and headed off towards the Palace.
