In dedication to Her Imperial Highness, Augustina Theorosia de Joannes,

Over the life of Princess Augustina of Balian she’s accumulated a grand collection of personal tiaras, diadems, and circlets ranging from rarer designs to simplistic stones to convey her opulent lineage and wealth. Through numerous interviews with the Princess, Baroness Austina has documented each headpiece's history, creation, and finished design for the public to view.

The collection is in order of creation and therefore its public display, with the exception of the last one that has yet to be worn by the Princess.

The Bandeau of Balian Sands

Princess Augustina’s first tiara, given to her on her 5th birthday by her father, John Casimir I, King of Balian. Shaped like a ribbon across the front of the wearer's head and is generally situated across the forehead. In the middle of the piece is an extravagant teal green sapphire, protected by aurum embellishments that keep it faceted into the piece. On each side are tinier sapphires of the same hue that pin the headpiece to the wearer's head behind one's ears. When Princess Augustina wore this piece as a child, it was paired with two crispenettes on either side of her hair.

The Aurum Alexandrite Tiara

The rarest but also simplest piece in Princess Augustina’s collection, the Aurum Alexandrite is constructed of pure 24 carat gold from the desert mines of Balain. Spiraling upwards the tiara holds a rare gemstone known as Blue Alexandrite which is found north of Haeseni lands in the icy mountains. The normal gem is often said to be ‘Emerald by day, Ruby by night’. However, the one in Augustina’s tiara is blue which allows it to look like Sapphire in sunlight and Amethyst in moonlight.

The Diadem of Monterosa

The Diadem of Monterosa is a perfect portrayal of allegiance to family and love of a country's people. Gifted to her by her mother, Gwyneth of Karosgrad, and named after the palace in which Princess Augustina grew up inside. It was worn by the Princess at her debutante and fashioned out of Balian aurum shaped into the classical regal design mirroring the rules of yore’s crowns. The gems inlaid are marquise-cut diamonds, crystal clear in color. It was said that on the night of her 16th name day that the diamonds shimmered and shocked the crowd with their splendor

The Annician Tiara

Inspired by Augustina’s Novellen bloodline, the Annician Tiara was crafted to honor her late great aunt, Princess Anne Caroline, Duchess of Auvergne. The headdress is made of the unusual aurum found in a deposit under the old Augustine palace which holds a strange green hue to the metal. At the heart of the piece is a generous princess-cut Amethyst which symbolizes purification. Encompassing the rest of the tiaras surface are ivory colored pearls that were placed to create spirals and swirls.

The Moonstone’s Purity Tiara

A gorgeous tiara intricately created for the Imperial wedding of Princess Augustina of Balian and Prince Joseph, heir to Sedan. Made entirely of Sedanian gold that crescends to a singular peak at which a polished moonstone, pearl in hue, is set in the center. Surrounding the moonstone are flourishes of miniature royal-cut diamonds. The moonstone was chosen because of its representation of purity, fertility, and balance, all desirable traits in the new bride.

The Tiara of Johannesburg

A tiara made of darkened 18k aurum and styled into the shape of a fridge tiara. Instead of the common diamonds usually used in a piece like it, rubies imported from the mines closest to Johannesburg were used. Richly decorated in the rubies into a symmetrical pattern. At the top is a faceted 18.65 carat ruby named ‘The Julian Vermilion’. This piece was gifted to Princess Augustina by her new husband, Prince Joseph of Sedan, as a wedding present to wear in honor of her new people and in hope of a long reign.

The Diamond Amber Tiara

A wide tiara made of copper with two large bands, one that acts like a base, and the other that arches upwards in an even semi-circle to connect to the otherside. Between the two copper bands are five large amber stones, suspended with wire with the smallest two on the outside and the largest in the middle. The amber, though, has a special property that makes this tiara specifically unique. Inside each tapered baguette cut gem are portions of uncut diamonds that sparkle periodically, adding the strange illusion of the shining sun being worn atop someone's head.

Perna Viridis Diadem

The Perna Viridis Diadem is the most fragile piece from Princess Augustina’s collection, made by herself from emeralds gifted to her by her younger sister, Princess Persephone of Balian. Fond of copper, the diadems base is made entirely of the metal and is shaped into three large points which respectfully equate to ‘Glory, Loyalty,’ and ‘Authority’. On top each point is an emerald of oceanic hues, the largest known as the ‘Padina Pavonica Emerald’. Then, on the bottom band of copper which holds the jewelry to the wearer's head are smaller oval-cut emeralds which add to the dignified fashion of the piece.

The Circlet of Sedanians

The twin to the Coronation circlet of Sedan, the Circlet of Sedanians was originally made for Princess Augustina of Balian in preparation for her eventual coronation alongside her husband, Prince Joseph of Sedan. It is a semi-circlet made of white gold with tiny diamonds the hue of a cloudless-sky. A modest piece fit for a coronation.

A brittle creature rose from the depths of a cave system. Upon her wrinkled and dry features that clung to her bones, a thin smile could be found. She, who was once known as Anne Caroline of Oren so liked to  be reminded of her heritage. Turning the torn and tattered missive about in her boney fingers, she recalled a tiara she owned when she was but a girl.

"It was similar to this one," she thought with a sense of pride before returning to her slumber.
