Liam rides into Norland and dismounts his horse. He puts the drugs and herbs he was hoping to sell in Hanse back in his stand within the bar before walking to his house. Once inside, he looked around for his cat, Wheat. He had gotten him a few years ago from an abandoned city and taken care of him. He couldn't find him before noticing his bedroom door was open. Liam walks inside and sees Wheat on his bed asleep. He walks quietly over to him and gives him some pets when he realizes Wheat is not moving. Liam looks at the cat to notice it lays dead in his bed. He stares in disbelief as he takes it in. That cat had been his first friend since being shunned out by his parents. He had been there as Liam struggled to to learn to read and write, as his parents never cared to. Endless nights of company and joy suddenly didn't seem so everlasting. Liam looked at the cat once more before feeling the tears force their way out. Liam put his head to his pillow and started screaming. As tears flooded out, he cried. He cried for his now dead cat, who he loved more than anything. He screamed of the favoritism of his father and neglect from his mother. He bawled at the of the death of his friend, Jack. Visions of him bleeding out on the floor begging for help filled Liam's mind. He cried for what seemed like hours before he got himself together. He sat up and looked at his cat before solemnly gathering some cloth and wrapping the corpse. Fighting back tears, he left for the hills of Norland where he dug a small crevice in the and set the bundle alight. He stayed by the fire long after it was out, staring silently into the horizon. He then unsheathes his sword stared at it. As it shined, he ran his fingers carefully along the edge. "Sharp..." He said to himself before putting the sword to his chest as if about to stab himself. He stated like this for several long minutes before dropping the sword. He then screamed of his hate of this land before quietly sheathing the blade and mounting his horse. he then rode off with no plans for what next...
