From the Ashes...

You are in a large, airy hall. Small glowing shards of ethereal crystal float calmly overhead, splashing a warm radiant light over the gathering of many robed figures.

Slowly, you look around the other gathered faces. You see many allies and friends as you gaze around. A smile here, a wink there.

However, most faces are turned towards the end of the carved sandstone stable. Upon a plinth, several Ascended stand next to a golden altar. They seem to be deep in discussion, making gestures and indicating at figures in the hall.

Suddenly, one of the Ascended walks forward, raising their stave for silence. She looks over the gathered Ascended with a faint twinge of a smile on her face.

Greetings, friends, allies, and fellow Ascended. We are here today to discuss what the future holds for our race.

Recently, there has been a great and tumultuous change among the Ascended -

We have gained few, losing twice as many to our foes, allies and mistakes. However, this shall not continue. We shall stand together, and forge a stronger, better organization for ourselves and the citizens of Aegis.

If we have learnt anything from our past and predecessors, it is that having several members of great power leading the many others is a grave mistake.

We are all equal in the Aengul's eyes, why should our organization be any different?

Our new organization will give Ascended more numerous chances to prove themselves and aspire to greater heights in their chosen field, helping us improve and steel ourselves better for the coming storm ahead of Aegis.

Therefore, we shall have a debate. Put forward any ideas you have that may improve us. Every Ascended is equal, therefore everyone should have the chance to tell us what we should do.

Before we start, i'd like to put forward some new basic plans for the paths our members may take.

Freya rolls out some parchments onto the table, pointing at several different professions.

In particular, I think a Warrior sect reform is nessercary.

Therefore I have added a order for those who choose to face their enemies head on - The Praetorians. These Ascended train with insurmountable discipline and valiance to overcome our innate physical weakness, and are the best of the best when it comes to non-weapon fighting.

On the other end of the spectrum, I have decided upon a Disciple Order. These Ascended choose to devote their time to prayer and meditation in order to maximize their magical potential. These are deadly and efficient magical fighters.

And of course, the Battle-Mage. We are all familiar with these - they choose to take the middle ground between the Praetors and the Disciples, although they do not gain the benefits from extended training in both, they enjoy a versatility not often known by Ascended.

*thinks about what she just heard and starts telling her Idea*

At first I think the sages should be cosen by all af the ascended, an way of doing this: each kind of Ascended (Warriors, Theolegists, commerce... and acedamics) should have two representatives, chosen by the ascended of the same profession. those Ascended would together form the council of sages, but to not give them to much power they should be re-chosen every (real life) weak or maybe longer. they should have a council leader, chosen by all the ascended, that Leader should have "veto"-right.

*a voice from the crowd calls*

maybe you should try improving your spells making better strategies and rise up from your isolation to seize your strength. Branches are good but what do they do besides make things nice and neat. fight your enemies. The people looked up to the ascended but the ascended did nothing to help the people. Change things that's where your strength will come from, courage not fear.

Chrisdena shakes her head by the chatter of reforming the Ascended. As her turn comes, she steps forward, looking at her fellow brothers and sisters.

"To start things off.. Your disregarding the Path which calls for those to be the voice of Aeriel. To preach and spread word of Her many graces. To those of good-minded souls and the innocents.. In which in turn by their own free will, make Her army stronger in size. Those titles don't seem fit for what we do in our Path. We're Seers and Priests.. Not Geniuses and Theologists, or Librarians.."

Chrisdena points at the scroll, "And there are missing colors, and these ranks don't match the color.. I know your new in our ranks.. So let me explain, those who wear the red robes does scribe work and architecture. The ones who wear orange is for such work in the academy and teaching others. The blue is for warriors and guards. The green robes for bankers, merchants and caretakers. And finally, the gold robes are for those in the priesthood.. Including those who have expertise in farming and mining.""

She turns her head, looking at Aurea, "As for your idea of the Sages. There should be six.. And ONLY six. To follow tradition, and respect the /True/ Sages who have been sent back to Aeriel."

((I choose to stay the same.))

All of this is ooc for me.

There will be no more sages. I am working on a leadership format so I do not look like a dictator. Right now it is difficult because most of the current ascended have never been put through trials of any sort. Also we cannot have too many voices because we are still a small number.

I do like everything Freya posted.

Also ascended recruiting is on hold. we have too many compared the the undead.

There will also be some new rules and teaching done for the recently ascended. Until you have been through trials you are an initiate. After I get the leadership worked out I will start on new trials.

I agree, having one powerful person per Sect was a massive mistake. Also, all titles are just placeholders, I needed input.

Also, theology was the FIRST sect to be created in the Ascended. It isnt new, not by a long shot.

What I propose instead is a "Council" type mechanic. One or more people per sect (depending on numbers we have) can be elected once per each minecraft year or before a major event. These "Councillors" Can pass acts and levies depending on the situation, and can also help manage the Ascended's finances and such.

Being a Councillor gives you no extra power, it's just a representative of each sect to share their findings and co-ordinate. The only difference is a change in uniform.

I have noticed that the ascended seem to lack any form of literature. You could at least have a library, now I realize I am not an ascended but I would be happy to help with a more intellectual side of the ascended if you give me that chance to.

Freya nods at Ambros. How did you get in here? lol.

Although that is a great idea ambros, these plans are not yet complete. I still plan to have a Architect and Scholar sect.

Thank you for the input, Mage.
