TO THE FRIENDS AND CITIZENS OF THE COMMONWEALTH, With the official passing of twenty years since the Coronation of Her Serene Grace, Renilde I of The Petra, and additionally… the thirty-eighth name day of the Archduchess— the River Court thus announces a day of unwinding and revelry! The Commonwealth of the Petra has, for many years, severely lacked the means of festivity.  For too long have the ballrooms of the Estenprome remained unused. All subjects of Almaris, with peaceful relations to Petra, are encouraged to participate. Local freshly-baked pastries and refreshments shall be provided, and abundant.

 

The Archduchess carries a deep fondness for all things blue and therefore, encourages all attendees of the ball to abide by the theme ‘Under the Sea’. Each lady and lord of any background is expected to garnish themselves in elegant blue attire to match the corresponding atmosphere of the ballroom.

 

 The Ball shall occur on the 7th of Godfrey’s Triumph, 1919 in The Estenprome Ballroom.

Together we shall toast to a prosperous and peaceful future, and to the everlasting health of Her Serene Grace and the Archducal Family.

TIMETABLE

 

WELCOMING CEREMONY

Before the event begins, members of the River Court and Archducal family shall greet their guests. As the time for the ball to begin closes, the Archduchess herself shall personally address the crowd. Selected peers of the Archduchess will also approach the stand with a speech dedicated to her reign.

 

OPENING DANCE

To commence, attendee’s shall break off to the ballroom floor where they have the opportunity to pair up and dance. During this scene, there shall be a distribution of blue orchid corsages and boutineers.

 

RECESS

Formalities shall cease and a recess shall initiate, all individuals are allowed to mingle, dance and drink as they please. Various assortments of games shall be provided to entertain the guests, such as chess and pin-the-tail.

 

FEAST

To conclude the festivities a feast shall be held. The menu will include an assortment of Petran delicacies, such as meat pies, delicious roasted poultry, and as promised in the introductory- Petra’s famous baked delights. Once the Archduchess deems it proper, there shall be a closing address delivered from herself, then dismissal shall occur.

Little Winifred Adalia took merriment in bossing around her mother's servantry to find her something to wear for the occasion. "Haeun." She spoke in Noufeille Petran, pointing to a particular aquamarine dress. "This one. Look at mo necklace." A little finger jabbed towards the handmade sea glass necklace falling apart around her neck, inclining the hurrying folk to stop and gawk at it. "Haeun." Pleased was she that she found something all by herself to match her creations! Though, hopefully she could make a matching bracelet in time to go with it...
