The proud nation of Talar'nor would like to finally announce the re-inauguration of the Geese Races, now with a twist: Gambling!

''Do you feel lucky and wish to make a pretty coin while watching birds race to the finish line for their very lives? Or will you fall under the pressure of feasible loss of a few mina, letting your brethren take all the clout?

Either way, you're in luck! The birds are ravenous for a challenge yet again, and wish for the sweet release of this race to satiate their undying hunger - so keep your fingers at bay, and drink with your fellow mates to this glorious competition of ours!"

OOC: Rules: For a competitor to participate, a small fee of 10 mina is required to receive their own goose.

Every participant is allowed to bet at least 10 mina for one of the 6 competitors they most believe they would win. A competitor may also place bets, yet they may only be ON THEIR OWN GOOSE.

One may increase their bet pool by increments of 10, which would be noted as papers in a barrel. One may NOT have double the next competitor's bet for obvious fairness reasons.\

Once the games have started all the bets are FINAL and the barrels are LOCKED.

The winner may receive double the mina they've placed on their bets, and so would the participants betting on that party. The winner of the goose race will also receive an EXCLUSIVE, one-of-a-kind goose plushie made by  Veynora Wynasul, Princess of Talar'nor (iFractal). 

At the end of the games, everyone betting more than 10 mina would receive a commemorative brew to keep or drink with the others in the tavern later that day.

 

 

 

The event would be hosted at the 141st Grand Harvest of the Second Age
