Entrusted with law enforcement, keeping the peace through persistent presence and frequent patrols, and dispensing justice in the Alstreim Territories, the OFFICE is headquartered in the city of APFELBERG and headed by the

The MARSHAL’S personal jurisdiction extends to the entirety of the Alstreim Territories up to and including the city of APFELBERG, of which he shall remain an appointed SHERIFF for the duration of his tenure, limited by retirement, death, or Princely dismissal. Duties and powers of the MARSHAL include:

 

✶ T H E  D U T Y to observe and enforce Royal, Princely, and Sacred Waldenic Law in the Alstreim Territories ✶

✶ T H E  P O W E R to detain and arrest persons, and serve Princely warrants for arrest ✶

✶ T H E  P O W E R to dispense armed justice against active threats of banditry and assault ✶

✶ T H E  P O W E R to issue bounties validated by the Princely Seal ✶

✶ T H E  D U T Y to protect the integrity and safety of citizens’ belongings, properties and cattle ✶

✶ T H E  P O W E R to levy fines and confiscate illegal belongings and stolen cattle, and enforce evictions in conjunction with the BAILIFF OF APFELBERG ✶

✶ T H E  D U T Y to affirm elected SHERIFFS of vassal townships and subordinate domains ✶

✶ T H E  P O W E R to command SHERIFFS and appoint a MARSHAL’S DEPUTY ✶

✶ T H E  D U T Y to serve as the CORONER OF APFELBERG ✶

✶ T H E  P O W E R to wear a badge signifying his rank in the shape of a SIX-POINTED STAR ✶
