On the solemn occasion of Last Saint’s Day, just moments after emerging from a crucial assembly that deliberated the future path of the esteemed Church of the Canon, Knight Captain Lukas urgently sought me out with a palpable sense of urgency. His demeanour betrayed a grave concern as he relayed the alarming news: a nefarious Ghoul, infamous as "The man in red," had managed to breach the sacred confines of the Holy See.

 

Responding with swift resolve, Holy Ser Lukas and I swiftly initiated the lockdown of all access points leading from the Holy See, strategically positioning ourselves to confront the imminent threat that had infiltrated our sanctum. Meanwhile, the resourceful retired elf known as Holly adeptly engaged the Ghoul in a daring diversionary tactic, skillfully drawing its attention away from our defensive manoeuvres.

 

In a testament to the valour and commitment of the Order of Saint Jude, devoted defenders of the Church's sanctity, we swiftly mobilised to shield Holly from the relentless onslaught of the Ghoul. The ensuing clash erupted into a tumultuous display of martial prowess, where the clash of our blades reverberated through the hallowed halls, casting dazzling showers of sparks that illuminated the sanctified space with an ethereal glow. Despite the Ghoul's formidable prowess and supernatural resilience, our united front gradually began to gain the upper hand.

 

In a pivotal moment of the intense skirmish, Holy Ser Lukas showcased his exceptional marksmanship, delivering a precision strike that found its mark with lethal accuracy, penetrating the Ghoul’s skull and delivering a decisive blow that incapacitated its sinister threat. Seizing upon this critical juncture, I swiftly moved to deliver the final stroke, severing the Ghoul’s head from its grotesque form and thereby definitively quelling the chaos that had erupted within the revered confines of the Holy See.

 

Further investigation by Holly uncovered crucial details about the ‘Man in Red' who was known in life as Atlas Hetlesaether, an ancient darkstalker aged between two to three centuries. His sole purpose for much of that time had been to seek vengeance for his daughter, Eliza Komnenos, yet Holly's meticulous searches yielded no trace of the girl in any historical or contemporary records. The target of Atlas's vengeance remained a baffling enigma, obscured by the shadows of time and the deep-seated grief driving him. What else was revealed was Atlas's eerie connection to Xionist codes—a set of directives ingrained within him, compelling him to dismantle and destroy religious institutions wherever he roamed. This dark programming draws him inexorably to churches and cathedrals, where he wreaks havoc upon any who dares to cross his path.

 

The only hope of putting Atlas to rest is the finding and destroying of his phylactory. If anyone has information on Atlas send a letter to Holy Ser MacSkaul of Saint Jude or Holy Ser Barend of Saint Jude.
