Overview

The Ul’fel Alliance is an alliance of three lesser shuul clans within the oceans of Aevos. This alliance is made of the Clans known as Kral’thor, Laure’lon, and Dral’thresh. Each of the clan’s territories border one another and each hold lines of trade and communication. These clans are highly different from one another, spanning from reef dwellers, to even those of the deep abyss.

Currently these clans have pitted themselves against the Kh’at’or. As of late they have grown closer to one another, and more distant from those of the Kh’at’or. Unless combined each would fall easily should a war break out, therefore their lives and success wholly depends on cooperation and working together.

Kral’thor

The Kral’thor are a clan of crustacean/shellfish themed shuul. They are very tribal and utilize traps and dishonorable tactics to succeed in combat.  They dwell in the area between reefs and the deep cliffs of the ocean. The Kral’thor are often found inhabiting ruins, shipwrecks, sunken cities, and etc. Their coarse and rocky skin and features allows them to blend into the ocean floor, enabling trap and guerilla warfare.

The Kral’thor are the most reserved of Aevos shuul clans. They scarcely engage in diplomacy and politics and often work as a nomadic tribe, living on the edges of ocean currents and pathways. Occasionally a group of Kral’thor will inhabit docks, retrieving food and resources from lost goods and treasures. They are the most wealthy of Shuul however and are known to keep large hordes or stashes of treasures deep within the ocean floor and caverns. They are extremely skilled in navigation and are often consulted for such.

Laure’lon

The Laure’lon clan is a clan of shuul often categorized as a Kth’shuul subspecies. They are a Clan of abyssal shuul, with most living in near complete darkness their entire life, save for their own light. The Laure’lon however are known as one if not only clan of shuul who has a bioluminescent appeal.  They often take the form of variants of jellyfish, angler fish, or other bizarre creatures. They are highly religious and are recorded as the closest to the Dweller of the Deep. They are ancient, and scarcely seen by those of descendent-kind.

The Laure’lon are an extremely powerful grouping of mages and occultists. Having such a close connection to the one known as the “Dweller” as well as their undisturbed centuries of life, they are extremely skilled in magicks of the deep. Their utilization of brine is paramount compared to most shuul clans. Their forms are ghastly and their appearances, though beautiful, have cost the lives of many sailors and even shuul. Their involvement in the alliance dwells down to being the bridge between shuul and faith. They serve as a think-tank to the alliance, coming up with both plan and prophecy to guide it to success.

Dral’thresh

The Dral’thresh appear as a clan of shuul that resemble that of eels and squid-like creatures. They are very skilled in melee combat beneath the ocean’s surface as well as above. They utilize war machines and creations for combat, whilst holding only a few larger creatures for battle. This clan often fights by releasing large clouds of ink into the waters, they are the fastest of swimmers and are extremely good at ambush and skirmish warfare.

This clan was once known as the strongest of the Shuul Clans within the waters of Aevos. They were once led by a valiant warrior known as Salz'thakaar the Eel. Over the course of time the clan grew restless, turning on descendents and weaker shuul in an attempt to garner relics and sources of power for themselves. When Salz’thakaar had turned onto the Kh’at’or Clan however, he was led into a trap and captured. Hundreds of years of spite had built up between the two clans, leading them to form rivalries and hatred for one another, though nothing more than small skirmishes and fights had occurred over the matter.

However, during the events of the Colosseum Salz'thakaar the Eel had been released to fight one of the participating descendent crews. In this battle he was slaughtered, having to fight not only stripped of his personal weapons, but against a force much larger than himself. The butchering of Salz'thakaar has only just now reached the ears of the Dral’thresh, however no actions of revenge have occurred yet.
