7th Conseille Municipal Meeting Notes

7th Conseille Municipal Meeting Note. Year 1990.

The Conseil Municipal came together for a small closed meeting, Consisting of Bourgmestre Nicolas de Wittenbach and Conseillère and Captain of the Gendarmerie Valérie Auclair. The meeting was started with brief updates from all sides concerning daily City buisness as well as remaining security concerns. After the Updates were done, Avindor Divadri joined the meeting bringing in the request to get a building as well as the permission to open a Magic academy in the Free City de Chambery.

 

The request was thus immidiatly discussed at the Conseil municipal but no oppossition was made to it, only ensuring that the new Academy would respect Petran laws as well as Chambery customs and values of peace and neutrality.  Once agreed upon the request was accepted and Conseille left the Chateau to inspect possible locations for the new Academy. This was a difficult process since most of the buildings and even land in Chambery area already used up, so the decision was made to grant the Chambery Theater to the new Academy to start with until newer and larger grounds for it could be found and build. With that the Academy was officialy established, only some minor paperwork left on the part of the Bourgmestre to finish.

 

After this the Council came together again to discuss a new Ordinance to outline the usage and status of public buildings in Chambery as well as enlarge the tax free status of certain cultural, scholarly or scientific institution. The goal is to ensure certain buildings to always remain in public hand and usage as well as ensuring that any institution promoting culture or scholarly endeavours can do so without any financial burdens. No concerns were raised about the bill, and it was thustly passed unopossed, with Bourgmestre Nicolas only needed to sign and pass it into action. The 7th Conseil meeting was then concluded and finished.
