Rogash's Corruption

Part One, Bound by Sorrow

Tolta, 39th of the Second Seed, 1305

It was a long day for Mellan, Rogash's mother. Labour had been difficult, as it was in the blazing hot sunshine of Krugmar. It was 5 hours until Rogash emerged completely. He was a green, strangely smooth skinned Orc, with two giant teeth, already formed. Mellan was reasonably amazed by this feat, yet she fell poor and dazed. Mellan lay back in the sands of Sanjezal, and passed into Krug's welcome, know by Krug as a Shaman of the Orcs.

Rogash's Nomad father held his chest, as the Shamans surrounding gave appreciation and had taken Rogash into Sanjezal's walls. His father, named Ragish, wept slightly, feeling shamed as he does so, yet heart-broken. Ragish had been given the absolute task of managing Rogash's future upon Aegis, unbeknownst of his monumental burden which shall follow him throughout his life.

Now he was 4, Rogash had developed his blood-lust at last. His father stood proud upon the monument which mourned his death, he passed during the Year of 1307. Rogash was now in the care of some passing Elves, who found him wrapped inside a thin cloth, which covered his dignity tightly. The Elves were desert residents, and surprisingly spoke Orcish.

A single year had passed since then, and Rogash had learnt the basic language of the Orc. The Elvish carers he had lived in tents outside Sanhar, though they did not know of Rogash's burden yet. Rogash had been chasing what the Elves seem to call, butterflies, yet there was nothing to be seen.

Soon after, later in the year, Rogash was sleeping inside his tent's compartment. A chant was heard through his large ears, it chants; "Bugdta Skai! Bugdta Skai!". Though this chant echoed quietly inside his head, he still slept, as if nothing had happened. Morning came to pass, and Rogash woke normally. His female elvish carer approached asking him if he wanted some breakfast. "Yug, ta!" Cheered Rogash, a voice echoed from his own words inside his head, "Bugta Skai...". Each time he spoke from then he heard these quietly inside his mind.

Part Three, The Day and Night

Tolta, 14th of the First Seed, 1319

Rogash was now 13, and his birthday was fast approaching. Now that his mind had fully settled down, from it's childish manner, Rogash had decided what he wanted to become when he had matured. He desires nothing more than to be a renowned Shaman, and from then on he meditated each day, and each night, and by doing so freeing his thoughts, and controlling them also. But soon, he would see what he saw back in 1310, a figure, one of light, and one of shadow. One figure stood in song, and bellowed out a Major Ballard, whilst the other chanted some kind of bass line. Together making the song he had been hearing since he was a child:

Bugta Skai...

Call upon him...

Take him down...

Bugta Skai...

Use his body...

Take his soul...

Use his soul...

Bugta Skai...

It was now that Rogash began to wonder what had been happening, he was confused on who these figures are. They had no facial features, just one of light and one of shadow. The moon had set, and they dissipated into thin air.

Part Three, The Day and Night

Tolta, 9th of the Malin's Welcome, 1326

Rogash had avoid any contact with other Orcs until he was of the age of twenty, he had decided to leave his Elvish carers by then. He arrived into Sanjezal's great -yet fearsome walls. He trembled, as this was the first time he had seen Orcs since his childhood. He seen an Orc will rather long hair, yellow eyes, carrying an Iron Sword (Austinpowers999), and he was closely followed, yet not together with a grey skinned female with large ears, yet didn't seem very Orcish, though there was some essence of Krug there (DecoLamb). Rogash continued on his trail into Sanjezal, he stood inside the gatehouse and waited, unknown of the Culture, unknown of the duties he performs as an Orc.

Many, many Fortdays passed, soon, Rogash's birthday had also passed, of which he spent alone, with nobody. Yet Rogash didn't mind, as he knew why, and knew that he wasn't disliked by anybody, only because he hadn't actually met anybody.

Though after his birthday, Rogash heard mighty roars of thunder echo throughout Aegis, he rallied his courage and raced toward it, not knowing of what it may be, he entered Kramaroe, as desolate landscape of ash, rubble and sandstone crumbled into pieces. He seen many humans rush towards the south of Kramaroe, and as they did Rogash followed, though many were sniped by lightning from afair, Rogash reacted quickly and dug up a small cavern and crafted some stairs inside it. Suddenly, a dwarf grabbed his shoulder and asked, "Oi you! Let es' in ere' why don't ya?" Rogash pushed the man from him, and closed himself inside the area.

After a night inside there, with only raw beef to live from, Rogash started to dig at the rusty caverns he was inside. He dug, and dug, and dug, and eventually he reached a giant area-like battlefield, of which Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs alike fought a cook's dozen of Hooded men, with staves. Upon an obsidian fortress they lay and cast their petty magic upon the innocent peoples of Aegis.

Rogash reached inside his bag and grabbed a bunch of sandstone, and began to build a building of some kind of shop. He had some signs pre-built for some reason, and decided to use these also, each would say things like: "Rogash is a nice orc, he give food for fightas". After his little stall was complete he handed out food and supplies for passing fighters to aid in the battle. Rogash obtained a bucket of water, and used it to dowse the fires the undead had created.

Then the prime part of his life had occurred. Rogash heard the chant once more, "Bagta Skai!" and almost immediately he was struck by lightning, his life almost faded before his eyes. Rogash lay weary and scarred, but he seen a light in the distance, a bright one. In the shape of a figure.

The Healing Of Rogash

Kamees, 12th of the Amber Cold, 1327

Rogash stumbles up to a mighty sandstone structure. The guards request his purpose, Rogash says "ill, da' people I seen said tis' was Taint". An Ascended fellow beckoned him inside. "Come here, The medical tent". Once in Rogash lay on a bed, knowing that he may soon be rid of his illness, once and for all. The Ascended raised his staff, and a blue light made it's way to Rogash's chest after some incarnations. Rogash roared in pain as his soul was "Cleared" of taint. Rogash fell faint over the bed, and begins to breathe faster, pant faster, and his muscles tensed. The Ascended looks sharply at what unfolds in front of him. "I claim this body, leave now, -'Pure'- one." Said Rogash's Corrupted Spirit.
