THE NOBILITY OF THE REALM HAVE WORKED GENERATIONS TO EARN THEIR STATIONS. It is with that great effort spanning decades, or even centuries, of hard work that makes them privy to many privileges and entitlements separate to that of the common citizen. However, this also includes a list of expectations to the noble class that all must abide by else they face disgrace or harsher punishment.

NAF HERZEN LUSZ

ON NOBLE RIGHTS

 

“These words shall codify the distinct rights and privileges of the noble man”

 

Ch I. “The Peerage and Nobility”

I.I. The undisputed right of all nobility shall include:

i. The privilege to host a family who shall dedicate themselves to the Kingdom in service of arms, politics, and all other aspects

ii. The privilege to petition the Crown and request a private audience

iii. The privilege to bear a heraldic coat of arms

iv. The privilege and entitlement to be executed by way of beheading

v. The privilege to elect a Champion of Haeseni blood to fight on their behalf in a Trial by Combat

vi. The privilege to a Regent in the event a Liege is below the age of Eighteen

vii. The privilege to determine inheritance to titles with the Crown’s permission

viii. The privilege to marry another member of the Noble Class

 

I.II. All titled peers, in addition to those above, are given the following privileges and rights:

i. The privilege to sit on the Royal Duma

ii. The privilege to own a keep with walls to host their kin

iii. The privilege to defend their land from invasion

iv. The privilege to settle taxable tenants on their promised land

v. The privilege to employ a guard of retainers, of who are in service to the Crown firstly

vi. The privilege to sit as a permanent boyar of ve Herzenvrest

 

Ch II. “Ve Herzenvrest”

II.I. Ve Herzenvrest shall be a gathering of the kingdom’s vassalage, a formal meeting hosted by the Crown within the capital pertaining to matters of state. The boyars of the ve Herzenvrest shall be titled peers over the age of sixteen or their regent if younger or incapable. 

 

II.II. Ve Herzenvrest shall be called & hosted by the Lord or Lady Palatine on behalf of the Crown, though can also be requested by the Speaker of the Duma in instances of great urgency.

 

II.III. Boyars of ve Herzenvrest are entitled to:

i. The privilege to petition any and all qualms to the Crown regarding laws, disputes, or any other petitions necessary

ii. The privilege to confirm a member of the Aulic Court (Eulyik Kort) as Jovenaar

iii. The privilege to debate laws, treaties, and doctrine, both national and local

iv. The privilege to amend ve Herzen Haurul through a majority vote

ON NOBLE RULES

 

“These words shall codify the unarguable rules and responsibilities of the noble man”

 

III.III. All Nobility are responsible for the following:

i. The responsibility to forever swear to the Crown, and to protect its life

ii. The responsibility to forever swear to Hanseti-Ruska, and Her People

iii. The responsibility to follow all laws of the Book of Honour, and adhere to any changes

iv. The responsibility to defend Hanseti-Ruska, and Her People

v. The responsibility to fight for the Crown, and uphold its cause

vi. The responsibility to summon the forces of your kin when His Majesty wills it

vii. The responsibility to defend Hanseti-Ruska’s borders, and fend off all of Her enemies

viii. The responsibility to advise the Crown and seek the greatest outcomes for the Kingdom

viv. The responsibility to obey and enforce the laws of Hanseti-Ruska within their vassal lands

x. The responsibility to ensure the well-being and discipline of their retainers
